i met dan years ago at hatton/pacquiao....he was nice enough...took a couple of minutes to chat.....back then i used to read his friday chats religiously....hes not a bad guy and not a bad boxing guy although i never trust a man who doesnt drink lol

i did gain respect for him at one point though....dan had always been sort of big pac guy....pac and arum gave him access to pac...they let him come in and rewatch fights in pacs hotel the day after in vegas and stuff....rafael always wrote glowingly about pac and seemed to be one of his biggest fans and it helped pac gain steam......but at a certain point in the pac/floyd saga dan was real about it and wrote an article where he blamed arum point blank for the whole thing...he kept it real that day and i respected him for it

I thought it was well knows that his contract was up April 2020? So Yeah Dan contract expired and ESPN said they would not be renewing it months ago so no surprise here at all

When they hired Steve Kim it seemed obvious to me Fat Dan's days were numbered & I'm sure I mentioned it here at the time.

Should be interesting to see what his move is from here. Foresee a podcast or PBC or DAZN picking him up for some platform gig of some sort or making him their defacto media guy wherever he lands media job-wise like he had been doing for TR for so long.
