Floyd actually could KO Spinks at 154 that is how suspect Spinks' chin is.
what people forget is that castillo fight was years ago. how old was floyd then? 24 or 25? he was still a young fighter just like paul williams or cotto now. so to have beat castillo a future hall of famer is just proving how great he really is.

He makes weight at 147, just like everyone else.
Like it or not, fighters know Margarito is a high risk/low reward fight. That is why he is being ducked.

I give Baldy all credit for what he has done but I think it's premature to think he can hang with PBF.

He beat a flaky Zab Judah who had him completely at bay for 7 rounds.
Joshua Clottey had the man beat but was DQ'd for low blows in the 11th or 12th.

He's too slow of an aggressor to challenge Floyd. Now Margarito on the other hand, is just the aggressor that Floyd does not want.
I guess we can agree to disagree. Spinks and Baldomir both have slim to no chance of beating Mayweather imo. Baldomir would have made for a more exciting and competitive fight. Trust me Spinks is not outboxing Floyd.

          We can agree to that.
The Baldy fight would have been more entertaining.

I don't see alot of leather being landed in the Spinks/Mayweather fight. But just watch, Spinks will take this one.

You obviously never paid close attention to my posts. I always said I respected Margarito as an opponent for Floyd but he was unproven (though that is not all his fault). As a result I had no problem with him fighting Baldomir to become the recognized champ at 147 even though I felt Margarito was the most competitive match up out there. I stand by that. I also have consistently said that I never want to see him fight Cory Spinks, which I stand by. Floyd very well may beat Margarito (I would favor him to win) but that doesn't prove anything. Spinks offers no challenge or risk. Margarito may be unproven but clearly he can punch hard and punch a lot. Mayweather has proven vulnerable against guys that constantly pressure him (Castillo). So in conclusion I stand where I have always stood. I don't care who Floyd fights as long as its meaningful. This is in no way meaningful (I could care less about winning titles in different divisions because if he was going to fight DLH then he would be fighting for a 154 title anyways).

PS I still have never said that Floyd ducked Margarito. But now that he will spend the next few fights at 154... we are moving that direction. Then again if Floyd fights him later I will be alright with that (I'm just starting to think that is less likely).

Spinks won the title at 154 and I can't take that away from him but it was one of the least inspiring performances I've ever seen (running in the 12th round?). I was more encouraged by Margarito in his loss to Santos than I was by Spinks in beating Karmazin. Karmazin looked like he was totally out of it and he shook Spinks' legs with the only hard punch he landed the whole fight (round 2 check it out).
                  Spinks shouldve lost that anyways......
