Honestly that is a ridiculous point. Anybody can sell out their own arena. Sergio Mora sells out the Staples Center... I certainly don't think that means top level fighters should fight him. Furthermore put Margarito in Tijuana and lets see what happend with the gate. I used to like Floyd but as a boxing fan this is inexcusable. He strung us all along for months promising a good fight and we get this.

The fight isn't going to be fireworks.

It is a decent fight though for a boxing purist. Either way, Floyd picked the wrong guy to get his feet wet at 154 with. The Oscar fight will never happen now.

If your going to move up in weight the last thing you want is to fight a bigger guy that's equally as hard to hit.

The greatest part about this is that since Spinks is the champion, Floyd will have to wait in the ring while Spinks dances his way in. I like that Mayweather will be kept waiting so he can see what boxing fans feel like waiting for him to schedule a decent fight.

I am going to have to disagree here. Floyd is the best boxer in the game today (skill wise) and he is not going to be outclassed by Cory Spinks. Furthermore, Spinks may be slightly taller but Mayweather has the reach advantage so its pretty much a wash. And what is Spinks gonna do as the bigger man...lean on Mayweather until he collapses. Because he has a better chance of KO'ing him that way then with his fists.

i agree, we will see. Im not a huge fan of either. Spinks jinx may be in effect....Man if Spinks was to actually beat Floyd, Spinks gonna cry like he always does...make that face only a mother can love.

Margarito hasn't been mentioned for a while. And furthermore if Spinks could kill a fly with his fists then he wouldn't of got the opportunities that he did. They trotted him out as a sacrificial lamb to Mayorga. Margarito didn't have that luxury so how was he supposed to get name guys to fight him. Margarito is incredibly more deserving and a more dangerous fight and I am not all that high on the guy.
