I think Calzaghe outboxes Froch with ease but if it was up to me on who to watch if they were both fighting on the same night I'd pick Froch 10 out of 10 was always in good fights except when he got picked apart by Andre Ward and complained about his style of fighting but had previously used the same tactics when he fought Glen Johnson and Arthur Abraham.

Either way they are both high level championship fighters from the UK but I think Froch faced more fighters in their prime than Calzaghe. I will say though Calzaghe beat the **** out of Jeff Lacy and boxed up Mikkel Kessler in his prime so those are probably his best wins he went on a veterans tour before he retired himself but I don't think he could have been able to hang with a prime Roy Jones Jr. or Bernard Hopkins.

Calzaghe boxes the ears off of Froch. The much better and alluring matchup is Calzaghe vs Ward @ 168. Now that is a dream fight and I'd be hard pressed to pick a winner.

How long has Froch been behaving like this now? It's funny nobody close to him takes him aside and explains to him how everything he says sounds like sour g****s.

Carl has become a decent analyst for the live uk boxing and should be happy with his lot as he leaves a decent legacy. He should stay away from situations like this one as it will always come back that he wasn't even the best at the time in his own division and refused a rematch with the man who was and who won virtually every round against him.
Andre was too Sharpe and clever for Froch as Joe would no doubt have been.

Froch had a great career but the match up is a world class fighter versus an all time great. Calzaghe was one of the best to ever lace them up and he'd beat Froch, no shame in that though.

I always thought that joe’s strengths were his punch output and his stamina. I never saw him as particularly slick. And without a doubt he came along at a time where there were no great middleweights other super middleweights in their prime. I just can’t see him beating Hopkins and jones in their primes and a fight with the great Nigel Benn May have proven downright fatal for him.

Yeah straight up I don't consider him an all time great maybe the best Welsh fighter of all time I'd give him that. You can look great against guys like Omar Shieka, Peter Manfredo, and Sakio Bika but those are 2nd tier fighters his fights with Lacy and Kessler are solid wins and he did win against Jones and Hopkins but they were aged veterans at that point.

Greatest welsh fighter for decades without a doubt. I cannot put him over the great Jimmy Wilde though. His best win was clearly over an in his prime Kessler, which was a ******* of a fight and one that I did not think he was going to win. He turned it up in the late rounds, hurt Kessler to the body, and simply overwhelmed him. I never thought that much of Lacy, to be honest I never understood why so many think that was an overly special win. I never really saw any special championship talent in Lacy.....just an over muscular body, reminded me a lot of Bruce Seldon with a chin.
I do however believe calzaghe MAY have beaten eubank in his prime but after the Watson fight, not before

Watch what Calzaghe did to Kessler, that's what would happen to Froch only he would get more overwhelmed.
