two years ago 70% people in this forum were GGG fans. Now 90% know GGG gonna get body shot and tko'ed

The whooping Derevyanchenko meted out has taken away whatever aura was remaining.

Having said that, Respect to both GGG and CANELO.they fought 24 rounds and all were super close

I always thought if their was a third fight between Canelo and GGG that Canelo would stop him , but I don’t know how Canelo will be affected by dropping back down to 160. That is 2 weight divisions from where he last previously fought. It may drain him.

Going down several weight classes has always proven fatal. Happened to Chris Bird after coming down from heavyweight, happened to Roy Jones after coming down to fight Tarver 2, happened to Tarver after filming the Rocky movie at heavyweight, happened to Chad Dawson at 168, happened to Fast Eddie Chambers against Mchunu. Not that Canelo can’t do it but for someone that muscular, it can’t help him but be a detriment, specially when he has shown poor conditioning in the final championship rounds. GGG will be far from his peak but Canelo won’t pose nearly a threat either as he was in the second fights. Fighting back down at 160 will be his demise.

This is why I don't want to see a 3rd fight, anything besides a ko is a robbery,& regardless of what Nelo does it will be discredited (esp. if he loses his accomplishments are forgotten by the same few scorned who picked him to win in a supposed cherrypick)

Canelo could dominate and knock him out, at any weight and it will be "Canelo waited for GGG to get old, GGG would have won an immediate 3rd match, Canelo ducked a guy he already fought twice by moving to 175"

If Canelo can make it back to 160lbs to fight GGG, then he can fight Charlo or Andrade as well. It doesn't seem wise to go back down lower than super middleweight, but he's not a big middleweight anyway, although he is broadly built.

Food for thought: what if GGG boxed Canelo like Kovalev did? Would be another boring fight, but it might just work.

Funny how 168 was avoided even in talks when the division had a true champion to deal with. Now that Zurdo is not there everyone wants to jump in the pool. Canelo can make more money but doesn't make him better in that weight class. 175 is going to be avoided also unless the hyped matchup against anyone but Zurdo or Bivol can be made. I guess it's the money more than the legacy with the Canelo camp and Reynose. That's why getting GGG to fight a third time is targeted when he along with most fans couldn't care much to see happen.
