I love Maravilla but I hope he takes COVID on board and continues to self-isolate and not step in the ring again.

      To all you idiots.

The story of Sergio coming to Spain early in his career, with nothing with him, except his girlfriend, should be well known to boxing fans who knows his life and story. He later married, but is now divorced.

Miguel De Pablos is his financial manager.

Other than that. Kerman is now fighting as a super welter.

He lost the first fight against Avanesyan partly because he was sick (had done too much sparring and had anemia at the time of the fight), and got horrible advice from his corner. He was ahead on points, but an idiot in his corner had looked at the tv experts' scoring and claimed Kerman was behind on points. That made his trainer say to him "go out and fight like you'd do in the streets, and knock him out!". David Avanesyan was almost stopped in the 8th when Kerman finally went for the body and tried to knock him out, but instead he gassed out completely, and a better fit Avanesyan could easily take him out.

For the second fight Kerman could no longer make the welter weight. He was signifciantly drained and had not recovered at all on the day of the fight. Some did not want the fight to go through, as Kerman was in no shape of fighting, but with 10.000 people having bought tickets, and the hope a win for Kerman could earn him a life changing title shot, economically speaking, they had no choice. As you could see, Kerman had no punch resistance whatsoever. As soon as he was hit, he went down.

Kerman versus Martinez is a meaningless fight. Martinez should stay in retirement, and Kerman should focus on winning the EBU title in super welter, and see if he can do anything more than that in that weight category.

So what does he mean by “partner and friend”? Did he come out the closet? Lol I must’ve missed it. I mean it wouldn’t be a shocker, he always dressed gay outside the ring.
I don't think so. I searched that phrase and found this from a June 2015 article.

Today, in partnership with friend and longtime partner Miguel de Pablos, Martinez's promoting enterprise, Maravilla Box, is starting to take shape.

Former middleweight champion Sergio Martinez's retirement marks the end of an era for Argentine and Latin American boxing, and a story like no other.

Miguel de Pablos is a business partner in Maravilla Box... Martinez's promoting enterprise.

Sergio, you have nothing left to prove. Please stay away from the ring.
There should be a mandate or something to protect these fighters from themselves. Personally, I think Andre Ward has a lot left, but I truly respect how he went out in his prime and now enjoy the success of commentating.
