Rid**** Bowe is mostly remembered for getting TKO'd by Lennox Lewis in the Olympics, then being too terrified to fight him in the Pros. So terrified he threw the belt in the trash, like a wrestling diva. He also looked like trash against Andrew Golota before Golota basically handed him the victory, twice. Bowe in general was shown a lot of favour in some of his bigger fights, hyped as a great and given preferential treatment, questionable scoring etc. Does have those wins over Evander Holyfield though, and a short reign as Lineal. Why did Bowe not fight again at a decent level after the second Golota fight?

I've been one of Fury's biggest fans on here since the days you could count Fury's fans on here on one hand. My opinion carries much, much more weight than a lot of the chit-posters and bandwagon jumpers around here. Most of them don't actually know what Boxing is. They come here to hate and spend most of their day excitedly reading social media notifications on their phones. Many posters here probably googled Rid**** Bowe to find out who he is/was when they read this thread title.

I would say as of RIGHT NOW, Bowe and Fury sit on a similar level acheivement-wise. Similar acheivements as far as belts and wins and title reigns. Bowe got an Olympic silver, but Fury turned Pro young and failed at making any Olympic teams due to politics in the UK and in Ireland. If Fury beats Deontay Wilder again and/or beats Anthony Joshua then he clearly moves ahead of Rid**** Bowe. Personally I was never a fan of Bowe and I think Fury is the much better fighter, but can't right now say that is the case because it's just an observation based off my own eye test. Think in time it will become very apparent though.

Dude, nail on the head, exactly.

Same thing that happened when he went from regional to world level. You stop comparing him at the regional level and start comparing him at the world level, right?

Undisputed is indisputably higher than a disputed title holder. When you hold a title you can compare to guys like Holmes. If you're unified you can compare to Wlad. When you're undisputed you can compare to undisputed champions throughout history.

Until then, Tyson has work to do to earn the honor of being on Bowe's proven, not theoretical, level and comparing the careers

Tyson by the end of it may damn well have much more than Bowe to brag about, but, at the moment, he's a notch below.

Ain't no EBU higher than any WBC. Ain't no Golds or Regs higher than the Super. Super WBA + WBC = more than WBO. All across is a clear higher level champion....this is a dumb debate.

So you rank Zab Judah over Manny , Floyd , Marquez, Mosley, Cotto because he was undisputed champion ? Actually he was the last 147lb undisputed champion. By your logic then you rate Judah pretty high huh?

Let’s see how you spin this.

I don`t think any 90s heavyweight would beat Tyson Fury.

Mike Tyson, Foreman and Holyfield would be the smalest heavyweights Fury has ever fought. It would be laughable.

Are they all single weight single title holders or are you trying to compare something that isn't the same as if it is?

                    Not arguing just asking.
You determine who's better based purely off accomplishments no other BS right?
Fighter A is a three weight (wba super champ)
Fighter B is a two weight (lineal + wbc champ)
Would it be fair for me to think you'd go with Fighter B? As the better current champ in said division?

So when Fury beats Joshua and becomes an undisputed, there will be no critics left. Good to know.
