You keep repeating 193, but I think Boxrec has the official weight on Friday. I remember a talk that fight night RJJ was 199. In any case if someone finds pre-fight pictures of 1st Tarver fight - he looked like an old man. RJJ should've retired after Ruiz. Or make Tarver gain weight and fight him at 190 limit. Moving all the way back to 175 was a bad decision.

No Mike Tyson was dangerous until the end 'No fighter had a easy time with him'.

Yeah but Danny Williams was actually a heavyweight.

RJJ may have been P4P on a different planet, but Williams was used to taking shots off HW’s, isn’t going to get pushed around the ring like a blown up Light Heavyweight/former MW.

Tyson in 2004 might’ve been totally faded, but probably would’ve been way too much for a smaller man i think. Too much experience at being a bully not to be able to bully a smaller man.

Danny Williams was like Chisora in that on his best days he was actually a very decent heavyweight, he just was terribly inconsistent.

Anyway Tyson fought the best version of Williams and landed many shots which would have ko'd Jones.

Mike Tyson was beating Williams, until he injured his knee 'Even still then he was really in that fight' Good Fight all around.

Danny Williams was a good fighter, could let his hands go 'And technically was just a good fighter on his night.

tyson would win. riods jones jr danced around the boring man for 12 rounds but no way he survives 3 with tyson. i don't think he could hurt him, that combined with his own glass chin is recipe for disaster. there is a reason he turned down 40 bags

It's true. Danny took some stick early and was a good European level heavy.

Roy just wouldn't be able to take anything big. But I dunno my feeling was Tyson didn't seem that interested back then but I suppose it is a different thing in a massive on for the ages PPV to light a fire under him.

I remember reading this BBC article after Jones beat Ruiz and they were discussing the next opponent for Lennox Lewis and they said he should "avoid Jones at all costs"

Which seems crazy now but back then roy was rated that high

Him v tyson would have sold Big
