He went from 193 to 175. This was before HW started at 200lbs. How many LHW's are around 190 when they enter the ring? Probably most.

      - -Roy only wanted Lewis for $100 Mil.

      Ya musta fergot!

Tarver was only supposed to be a stay busy fight as the Lewis fight marinated. The 100 mil never materialized, but had Roy retired as he and his trainer were talking, he already had the fans and boxing industry touting him as the best ever.

Exactly, been saying that for years, he really didn't put on a significant amount of weight for the Ruiz fight and then came down.

It wasn't anything more than he normally does since hes not 175 in the ring at LHW

I also want to point out he fought Trinidad years later weighing in at 169.

Exactly. He had to melt off 24 lbs of muscle. I feel like moving back down was the worst possible decision he could have made. They were angling for a Lenox Lewis fight had he stayed at heavyweight as I remember it.

Yeah but he had to lose 24 lbs of muscle. That would be extremely taxing on his body, especially at 34.

No he didn't, he had to drop a few pounds eat a lighter diet but its mostly water he lost when making weight on the scale at 175.

He likely lost 0 pounds of muscle. That's what I'm saying. Guys who weigh in at 175 are usually around 190 in the ring.

He would have killed him. Roy would have been down and retired right then and there. Look what Tarver did to him, and Tarver was never a feared puncher.
