And my point is to say that being a 3-division champion doesn't mean a damn thing anymore. Anybody can be a multiple division champion. It doesn't matter.
Additionally, it's about what have you done LATELY? Which for both guys is nothing.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall Golovkin ever getting dropped (even if the ref refused to call it such).
Plus, you got to put things in perspective.
When you're facing guys like Jacobs, Derevyanchenko and Carnelo...you know...guys that are actually THREATS...if you do win, it's close and competitive because you're in there with the top of the class.
But when you're facing guys with one leg and damn near get taken the distance...
Or you're so threatened by a guy you refuse to fight him in his backyard and then make up a phony hand injury to throw off his fight camp and travel plans...
Or you're forced to resort to low blowing a guy that got sparked out in his prime by a top guy with ease...
Or you get two-pieced, wobbled and dropped by a guy that nobody can pronounce his name correctly (even ESPN)...
Of course you're going to look like you're doing something. Because you're not even TRYING to fight top talent. You're sparking the B-level and looking terrible in doing so.
Sorry dude, it's not close to me. IN terms of RESUME...Golovkin's got Crawford beat by a country mile because Golovkin at least TRIED against three top opponents and beat two of them, arguably beat the third in the first fight.
Where Crawford has Golovkin beat is just on reputation. Crawford has never made fun of a Mexican only to get walked down by that same Mexican to the point his Mexican trainer acknowledges the opponent. Crawford has never run out of the ring crying. But that's all Crawford can say right now and we don't know how he'd handle getting beat by Porter or Danny AGAIN (thus the reason for the duck).
