Let's settle it. Are Golovkin and Crawford the same, just different weight classes?

I mean I'm just sayin, people throwing out "Crawford is a three division champion" like that's supposed to impress me when Adrien MF'n Broner already surpassed that AT A YOUNGER AGE.
That makes Crawford look even worse.Comment

Same level of opponent Crawford beat. You call him Bumlovkin, why not Bumford? I mean they both have weak resume but "Bumlovkin" fought better opposition than Bumford. Other than being black, what you like so much about Crawford resume?Comment

Let's analyze this.
GGG was HEAVILY hyped by HBO.
Crawford was HEAVILY hyped by ESPN and HBO.
GGG once said he'd fight anyone from 154 to 168. Then didn't do it.
Crawford said he could fight at 140 right now or go up to 154. Hasn't done it.
GGG's fans said Carnelo - actually everyone in the division was ducking him. Until G fought Jacobs and barely sc****d a win.
Crawford's fans said that Spence - actually everyone in the division - was ducking him. Until Crawford fought Kavaliauskas and got two-pieced, wobbled and dropped.
G got called out by Charlo, Saunders, Eubank, Ward and a whole host of others that would be considered threats. Never fought any of them.
Crawford has been called out by Danny 'Swift', Shawn Porter, Keef Thurman, etc. all of which would be considered threats. Never fought any of them.
G's fans say that it's because G was ducked "in his prime" and now he's "old" - despite the fact that G has not lost since losing to Carnelo.
Crawford's fans say it's that Crawford is being ducked "in his prime" and he's getting "old" - despite the fact that Crawford has not lost.
People try to call out G's low level of opposition. His fans say "because he's being DUCKED doe!"

I’m not a fan of either fighter at this particular point. I think both of their resumes are lacking considering their place in the P4P list.
With that said, GGG actually turned down those fights, Ward, Charlo, etc. and wanted to fight leaser fighters, e.g. Chavez Jr at 168, but said no to Ward and Froch at 168, tried to get them down to a catchweight to weight drain them. Ward at 164lbs and Froch at 166lbs. But Chavez Jr at full 168. Clear duck move.
Crawford, to my knowledge, can’t get certain fights due to his promoter and network. I don’t think TC has actually turned down any PBC fighters. He is simply unable to fight them due to their promotional ties.
With that said, idc what’s going on with the two, why their resumes are lacking. Their resumes are lacking horribly, period. They aren’t very good representatives of the P4P list.
Give me someone like Canelo and Lomachenko, who have a loss but are known to fight the best. I think they represent the P4P list very well.Comment
