Besides it's not like Golovkin's really got a hitlist of other top fights waiting for him anyway.

And yeah, whatever else even at 38 GGGs arguably still the best at 160 (less you thought Canelo deserved the nod) until proven otherwise, though I'd say the gap is real thin at this point. Can't not give Canelo credit for it, just not as much as if he'd been able to beat him cleanly back in 17 or 18.

Every recognised ranking authority has GGG best MW apart from Canelo. If you think Canelo deserved the win then course you have him top although I'm kinda working on the principle that Canelo's franchise thingy makes him interdivisional now and kinda outside the rankings as it were. I suppose you could rank him simultaneously in 3 seperate divisions if you chose I guess.

Let's say Golovkin's recognised as the best MW that Canelo could fight, which was after all the point I was trying to make. Actually I was praising Canelo for fighting the best MW and trying to say that yes he did deserve credit for doing so, but if you think Canelo would get more credit for fighting Derevyanchenko or Boo Boo then feel free to hold that opinion. I'm good with any of those fights.
You're not saying you think Canelo's ducking Boo Boo and Derevyanchenko are you?

            As for the rest -

I thought Golovkin deserved the nod twice, but the second fight could be seen any way you like. Absolutely I believe Canelo will win again though, and I think decisively this time.

Fair enough, maybe Danny would or could have won a rematch. it was a good close fight.

If you scored for Derevyanchenko I ain't arguing, plenty did see it that way.

I don't use the term 'duck' for any fighter, but he surely doesn't seem to have any interest in Boo Boo cos he's got his eyes on the Canelo cash prize and knows it's a risky fight. Shameful. Charlo, maybe the same, though if I had to say that's more about the network split. Signs are Al ain't really considering Jermall for business with DAZN when he won't even let him fight Canelo. Can't say for sure though.

Same standard I hold every other fighter to man. That ain't making excuses, Scrappy. That's just being consistent.

I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that DAZN paid both guys (Canelo and GGG) a lot of money with the expectation that they would fight a third time. DAZN was probably on pins and needles when Golovkin went life and death with Derevyanchenko because they invested a lot into the Canelo-GGG trilogy fight. Charlo/Andrade/Derevyanchenko/Eubank Jr. should be fighting each other in the meantime and any combination of those guys fighting would be fine with me.

The only way a KO or KD of GGG could happen would be via a body shot. Against SD, there was a body shot that clearly hurt GGG, and Canelo is much better at that than SD.

Far more likely though is a wide UD for Canelo, with GGG taking lots of damage, but not going down.
