You use the word "if" then you go on to list a bunch of completely impossible circumstances. There's absolutely no possible way they can organize and coordinate all of that without putting people at risk of spreading the virus.

And you think they're going to do phenomenal ppv numbers while people are worried about being homeless and finding food to eat? We're going into a deep recession and you think people have extra cash to spend on freakin ufc pay per view? Are you on drugs?

They need to come up with a way to make people have to pass an iq test to set a minimum intelligence level before being allowed to post online.

Personally , I’d have all posters doing VADA 24/7 testing
Boxing Scene ponying up for the bill
I think I’d get less heartburn

All this Arum and White sniping each other is publicity on both parts.

Everyone knows White is the Hearn of UFC. White basically admits he doesn't give a ....... about the people he represents and it's all about the money and exposure for him.

Everyone knows 249 ain't going ahead but while it's still in the limelight and White still talking outta his rear end then publicity and cash is being made.....

UFC fans - for the most part - tend to be drunken idiots and Dana White knows this. If it goes ahead, expect there to be a large amount of PPV sales as people still want to be entertained during this quarantine period.

Dana White doesn't care about the safety aspect. He has shareholders and CEOs to answer to and all they want to see is big numbers in terms of revenue.

What is wrong with giving the fighters a chance to earn a paycheck? The virus doesn't make people fall down dead, even if someone does catch it. Living in fear, peeps. However, the fighters can all be tested and have results in a day or two. Stay quarantined until fight time. Then fight. Yes, it would make money for UFC. Yes, there would be bad publicity from those who believe this is our Black Plague and that being seen near a human is a death sentence. But it would be a very welcome diversion. Plus, like I said first...a chance for fighters to earn a paycheck. They don't have contracts like NBA, MLB, NFL, etc. No fight. No money. No house. No food. Capiche?

Well said! There are levels to ******ity, thoughtlessness, and selfishness. Some of these sociopaths have reached the top on all three.

It is silly pressing forward with UFC 249. There's been zero promotion. They lost the top guy on the card. There's no fans in the stands. All of these aspects will hurt the PPV rate. The card could be pushed back two months and it would not make much of a difference other than that Ferguson is already 35 and on the dark side of his career. I think the biggest reason Dana wants to push forward is not for the money from this card but because he wants McGregor vs the winner in the fall in a huge PPV that probably gets 3 million PPV buys.

It does seem like bad timing and inappropriate. Let's say they can hold the event safely with the fighters, trainers, refs and judges all tested and cleared, the atmosphere certainly would be lacking and befelt watching it on tv or online. I don't know how the wwe WrestleMania will seem with no fans, but they are going ahead. Even though the wwe is sport entertainment, they need that atmosphere as well, although I'm sure they are going to sell well on PPV.

White is just exposing his insane greed, that's all this is. And he's certainly exposing the fact he's definitely not a leader. True leaders don't go thru their biz life all bull-headed and unapproachable. Sooner than later he will have to wake up and admit he's being an ee-diott for not postponing this one. Money? Who cares. It's LIVES at stake here... all for some pig-headed jurr-cough who for some reason can't think straight.
