So now you're saying that they want to fly the fighters, their teams, and all the event production crews to some other country to hold the event? What country would that be genius?

You think I don't want to see Khabib vs Ferguson? I've been dying to see that fight. But if it can't be done right now then it can't be done. The fight will be made and it will happen when the time is right. It is what it is. Whether you want to face reality or not, we all have much bigger problems at the moment.

There is a global pandemic that has penetrated many countries and is affecting many people. My original point was that if this event could genuinely be held without exposing anyone to an increased risk of infection, then it should go ahead. I stand by that. You typing SAFETY in capitals is irrelevant, because it was covered in the original contigency of "if".

Bob Arum's comments were designed to trigger the emotional buttons of those not willing to think. "He’s making a fool of himself, particularly in a situation where people have much greater problems to deal with. People are dying. They’re dealing with the isolation. They’re dealing with losing jobs, dealing with businesses being in trouble. What is motivating him to carry it to this point?"

Yes, people in certain places are dealing with all sorts of bad stuff. Does that automatically mean that no event can happen anywhere out of a kind of sympathetic guilt?

I don't really care too much whether this event goes ahead, but all things being equal, if it can be safely held, then there is no reason to not do it.

I believe, given the UFC's resources, they can probably pull that off. Dana White seems to believe that too. How it pans out remains to be seen, but you shouting insults doesn't really provide a convincing counter argument.
