I love this thought... But outside of the Olympics, there is no sport that would be harder to do this in. The four greatest? Even from 1977 on, there are so many all time greats in so many divisions against such different eras picking four is like a picking a last meal before dying... no matter what I say now, in 15 minutes I will have a taste for something else.
I love these lists, but there is no way I could make an argument that someone couldn't come back with a different set of logic to which I would not agree with. Therefore, I cede my opinion to smarter boxing historians than me.

Didn't Don King rip off a lot of boxers? We TOLERATE promoters, we don't CELEBRATE them
Mount Rushmore is in lands that were given to the Sioux Indians in a treaty in 1868. This was a treaty between the Sioux and the US government: a contract, that agreed the lands belonged to the Sioux.
Then, the US government took back the Black Hills when they discovered they had inadvertently given away lands that were rich with gold. Years later there was a project to dynamite out the faces of four Presidents on Mount Rushmore. The project ran out of money and the sculpture was never finished as originally intended.
The discussion is meant figuratively. I was being somewhat facetious and treating it literally, as if you were going for a Mount Rushmore redo with a sculptor who was looking for boxing to drive the project.
