I'm still under the impression that people either don't remember the fight or intentionally overplay what Canelo did in the rematch. I just watched the fight back (for whatever ****ing reason), at .75 speed and no commentary. I've seen the fight several times and there's still things I catch after each viewing that I didn't notice before. I'm still fine with 7-5 either way or a draw but anyone acting like Canelo dominated is an idiot.
What if GGG had retired before the 2nd Canelo fight?

although he hasnt got great wins, he did beat one number 1 contender, the bare minimum for someone to be called a successful titlist.
plus he beatdown zero defence vacant title winner Lemieux who has done nothing since (or now you mention it did nothing before that either).Comment

He didn't walk him down. Golovkin kept turning him pretty much the whole fight. Effective aggression doesn't mean **** when your opponent keeps turning back to the center of the ring the whole fight, which is why the majority of the fight was fought around the center of the ring. And no, he didn't beat his ass. I've watched the fight several times and have yet to see an ass beating.Comment
