What if GGG had retired before the 2nd Canelo fight?

What if GGG pulled out the 2nd fight as soon as Canelo tested positive, and retired into the sunset?

He would have retired as an unbeatable legend. People would talk about him in the same breathe as Hagler.

Instead he let greed get to him and ended up getting his ass whooped. Mexican style. ☹️

I disagree even though I think he won the first fight if he walked away from the second one the unanswered questions would loom because the first fight was that close

I agree - there would always be a cloud that would follow him, but it would partially dissipate in time much like Lennox Lewis never taking part in a Vitali rematch.

The first fight was not close. It was a Vegas robbery.

First fight was close but clearly a GGG win. Regardless that aint enough to retire no damn legend.

Lol what do yall be smoking when yall start reaching so hard?

yes in the fantasy world he would have gone down as a legend. he should have retired before the first canelo fight in that case since most people thought he would win. no need to even fight!
