People only want to hear it when it benefits them.

Spot on about atlas been irrelevant. That’s my thing as well. His future trainer doesn’t even need to be atlas, he might not even be the right trainer for him. But he needs all his snowflake fans/people fired from his team. He needs NO men in his team. And if he can get people like that, he has a good chance of getting back to the top, along with Kownacki whose shape sometimes need to be worked out (Turned down 7m because he wasn’t in shape against AJ), then turned up out of shape against Helenius for 100K.

I agree with Teddy here. If Ruiz is not going to take himself seriously then Atlas shouldn't waste his time. If Ruiz has bad habits thay he is not willing to clean up, then he shouldn't even go to Atlas because Atlas isnt playing around. How bad does Ruiz want to be better? He can talk that mess but actions speak louder than words. After all, team Ruiz brought up Atlas FIRST!!!!

LOL. Boxers should avoid attention-whore trainers...period.

Its good Andy got rid of Robles but he should avoid Atlas at all costs. These are the type of trainers who want to overshadow their clients (boxers) with self-promotion. Find yourself a decent trainer who is serious and focused, who has the requisite experience at this level, and who concentrates more on their work than getting airtime.

Part of me wants Ruiz to pick Atlas so in a fight in between rounds in the corner, I can witness Atlas trying to motivate Ruiz by yelling at the tops of his lungs, making up metaphors about food!

“Do you remember the time you ran out of adobos, tostadas, and cerviches? And they refused to give you anymore! WHAT DO YOU DO!!? That’s right! You go in the back kitchen and make them make you more! This guy your fighting is refusing to give you any food to eat! So what do you have to do? You have to TAKE IT FROM HIM!!!”

The quotables would be off the charts!

Atlas should train Andy if it means I don’t have to listen to his annoying anymore.

Teddy is the exact thing that he needs (In terms of the attitude). Atlas is absolutely right, Ruiz needs to be removed from his environment. Look at his chef!!! Look at his brother!!! They are all obese... He needs to be locked up with whoever his trainer is, with a dietician and a gym. For his own good Ruiz needs a tough environment and a no sense trainer.
I watched a video of Ruiz going on a spending spree with his buddies after winning the title. They were all obese too. The day went something like this: Help Andy choose himself a new automobile, then find a restaurant and stuff our faces, giant size helpings all round. Help Andy buy himself some new clothes, then find a fast food joint and stuff our faces again. Help Andy buy some ***elry .. then find another restaurant for more face stuffing ...

That's never going to happen. He's been fat his whole career. He was fat when he won the title and fat when he lost it.

Ruiz did not blame Robles. He sat post fight and said he didnt show up and didnt listen to him and it cost him. He made excuses about partying and too much weight and everything else but never said my trainers fault.

Maybe no one can motivate him now but I 100% agree with changing trainers, not that any of it was Robles fault, but do it because Robles couldn't find a way to get him to the gym. Ruiz own fault I know and maybe no one can get him to commit to it, well see.

I believe multiple trained champions by said trainer disagree. But hey who am I to critique a successful, multi champion, millionaire, trainer?

Ruiz has an eating disorder for sure, atlas is right about that much but its also extremely obvious.

At his height, weight and the activity level he should have in a pro training camp, the only way to maintain that high body fat is to be stuffing his bloat lord face with junk food 24/7.
