Everyone worried about feelings over facts these days and it's making you people weak minded losers.Comment

You idiots are here sticking up for this fat chump loser Ruiz. Unbelievable hahah. He ate himself out of a title and now he is looking elsewhere for redemption and inspiration. BS. He had it all and partied it away like a dumbassss and then made excuses afterwards. And you idiots STILL think he is worth a damn??!? Teddy Atlas is right on point with his comments and Ruiz is a fat turd who will never be anything close to a champion again. The End
That being said, they know exactly what their getting into dealing with him.
At this point Ruiz should just train himself and save us the sob storyComment

I don’t think atlas is a good fit for Ruiz. Robert Garcia might be better or Ronnie Shields. I also think crazy angel Garcia would be a better fit for RuizComment

I don't have a problem with anything Teddy Atlas said because Andy Ruiz Jr is the one who needs a new trainer. Atlas doesn't need to train Ruiz or any other fighter so Andy can take it or leave it.Comment

That’s the issue with the new generation, they are snowflakes. Their feelings are hurt by criticism. They cannot take the truth. The truth hurts. Teddy is the exact thing that he needs (In terms of the attitude). Atlas is absolutely right, Ruiz needs to be removed from his environment. Look at his chef!!! Look at his brother!!! They are all obese... He needs to be locked up with whoever his trainer is, with a dietician and a gym. For his own good Ruiz needs a tough environment and a no sense trainer.Comment

There’s gotta be more to this championship thinking than having to hear Atlas berate you at every turn (even in public)....Morally speaking Teddys absolutely right - you can’t blame your choice of bad decisions on someone else when you clearly should’ve found some sorta way to motivate yourself.
But at the same time Atlas has some weird motivational tools that are ******ed (to me). What’s right is right, but “how” he brings across that “right” is next to nutty!! There are some low key trainers - “purveyors of truth” so to speak, that can keep it totally real with Ruiz on what he needs to do - and get it done.
Ruiz already KNOWS what he needs to do, but is “being around Atlas” the only way to get it? Atlases “philosophy” might drive Ruiz up a wall - right back into knocking back Coronas & tortillas - wondering why the hell he “paid” this dude his leftover money. Why can’t Ruiz and his trainer “both” humble themselves and make it work - again. Apparently Ruiz’s trainer is doing the same thing Teddy is doing: calling him out in public. Will that definitely work as motivation? I don’t believe it will.Last edited by lion33lit; 03-23-2020, 11:50 AM.Comment

Great response. Whether Atlas would be a good fit is irrelevant. He tells it like it is. Some of these " fat " fighters claim that they are still in shape. Nonsense! You are a professional athlete so act like it. Kownacki is now in the same boat. Promising careers going down the drain because of gluttony. As far as the truth? People only want to hear it when it benefits them.Comment
