Greater fighter: Fury or Andre Ward?

- -And remember, UK fans outnumbered Wart in his own country where he was the only fighter in an international tourney who refused to leave home.
Ducked Bute and Popkins too!
Look up sissy in Webster's and see his mugshot!Comment

Kovalev quit gimme a break. He did not protest the stoppage in the ring. Normal fighters take a knee after a low blow.
Btw I rooted against ward in both kov fights and in most other fights he was in.
Back to the ops point do you think fury has accomplished more than ward?Comment

And Adonis Stevenson, who was a high rated SMW at that time. Ward turned down offers to fight himComment

No point trying to discuss this with you if you're not going to be honest about it.Comment

I have no qualm having a different opinion about a fighter, but your understanding of the judges is a bone to pick.
Most of Wards wins did not need a scorecard to assess the fight. Yes Kovalev was an exception. All great fighters get a decision going their way on occasion: Lewis against mercer, mayweather, on several occasions... Ward was not like Sven Ottki who really needed hometown cooking.
Ward was dominant in most his wins. It is also an exxageration when people say Ward would have been disqualified. Evander Hollyfield used his head as a ram, and was never called on it. Ward is gritty and he is a southpaw, which makes entanglements occur.Comment

Can play devils advocate. Deduct points from ward and give kovalev 5 min to rest who wins?
Fury beat a sure hof in wlad. Do you think ward beat any sure hof guys?Comment

Probably Ward, because he was coming on strong and Kovalev was looking ragged and fatigued. But Kovalev looked exhausted and out on his feet against Yarde, yet he managed to hang on, get his second wind, and win, so who really knows?
Interesting question.
Imo, Ward's best wins were Froch and Kovalev. I don't think either of them are sure-fire HOF'ers, so I would say no. What do you think?Comment
