He lost the late rounds to Eubank because BJS built up an early lead and decided to play it low risk. You are acting as if he had a life and death struggle or something. Same with Lee, BJS got the KDs and played safe knowing how to get the decision. Is that a difficult style for Canelo? Maybe, being cagey and then taking advantage of a small error and then being cagey again is gonna give anyone problems but no I don't think he comes close to winning, maybe a few years ago but Canelo has improved on the front foot since then

Plant said no, Benavidez is busy, Smith just lost. Saunders isn't a great opponent because he looks a level below Canelo, but a good a choice as any if Canelo if gonna fight at 168 because there is no great alternative.

Exactly. I’m a GGG fan, but as my post said, can anyone say GGG’s resume pre Jacobs was better than BJS resume now? And then who had Jacobs even beaten?

Can anyone say Jacob’s resume was any better than BJS resume now? He had only beaten guys like Quillen and Mora. They’re no better than guys like Lemieux and Andy Lee, probably worse.

A lot of double standards on here. BJS has beaten credible opponents outside of the top tier. he just hasn’t landed big fights until now against top tier fighters. Even the greatest fighters had to prove it at some point and hadn’t fought anyone elite.

BJS never ducked anything. Warren just never delivered big fights for him.
It's Warren's fault when Gareth Davies asked GGG a direct question in the post fight win with Brook, ''Do you want to Unify with BJS next for all the belts (Undisputed)?'' -Davies

GGG: ''Absolutely. 100%. All the belts is my plan A.''

You want to blame GGG's ''Team'' or the actual fighter? or Canelo paid GGG to say that? GGG never does anything wrong doe..

Simple question, yes or no. Was Kovalev a shot fighter when he fought Canelo?

He couldn't even keep eubank off him, who won 5 of the last 6 rounds. How exactly is that the style to give Canelo fits? Eubank couldn't land a glove on shot George groves but he was walking Saunders down lol. He's also beaten noone at 168 either and he's been fighting bums full stop last few years. And on a side note why is canelo not under any pressure to rematch Jacobs?canelo didn't win that fight , boxingscene had it 114 114 as did I. Yet people keep crying about ggg not giving Jacobs a rematch

Yeah, I know of nobody who felt that Young Eubank was successful. It was a close fight, could have gone either way, that's fair.

Saunders is not a great opponent for Canelo, but he is a good opponent. If you think about BJS vs literally anyone else...

                BJS VS GGG
                BJS VS Jacobs
                BJS VS Smith
                BJS VS Benavidez
                BJS VS Plant

All good fights, you probably won’t hear many complaints about these matches.

                But BJS VS Canelo...

Whoa whoa whoa, hold on there! How is this a good fight? Why isn’t Canelo fighting Beterbiev or Gvozdyk at 175? Or Breidis at Cruiserweight? Why won’t he call out Tyson Fury at HW???

The point? Standards. You hold Canelo too really high standards as a pro boxer, higher than anyone else.

While Usyk at 33 years old is being praised to death and getting kudos as if he is fighting Muhammad Ali reincarnated, for fighting Dereck Chisora, unranked in the top 10 HW’s, an opponent being hailed as a really tough test and what would be a very good win for Usyk according to some fans...But Canelo at 29 is over here struggling to get recognition for his already stellar resume and fighting a boxer his age, taller, about as big or bigger, undefeated, ranked just below him at #5 at the weight class this fight will be taking place, and clearly skilled and fundamentally sound.

One of the biggest problems with this sport right there. The example above. No consistency. Standards don’t apply across the board to every “elite” boxer in the pros.

Shot? I don’t think so. He was a faded from where he used to be but He would’ve still been competitive or beaten most LHW’s outside of Bivol, Beterbiev and one or 2 others maybe.

So in that respect, it’s still a good win for a guy coming up from 160, despite picking the weakest champ.

for the OP its not about Canelo or BJS. It's because GGG was never the boxer they dreamed him to be, so some fans choose an angle to discredit others because they didnt get it their way as a fan.

The cards were 115 113 bjs, 115 114 bjs, 113 116 eubank. How is that not close and a fight that could have gone either way? I watched the fight live and Eubank almost clean sweeped the whole second half of the fight after barely throwing a punch the first few rounds
