Hearn keeps selling himself that he made AJ a star (which he didn’t) and everyone acts like without Hearn there won’t be AJ. But anyone with a brain knows that isn’t true. He just hit a lottery with a guy that was destined to be a star.

With Hearn and AJ, I'd suspect that its six of one, half a dozen of the other. Hearn took the punt with AJ and he could have been exposed early against someone like Cornish or Whyte and so it may have not been worth the gamble. Without Hearn, AJ wouldn't have got the IBF shot with Charles Martin - as we all know Hearn paid the big bucks to get that shot for him. That's really where AJ catapulted into the 'elite' HW's.

In terms of AJ's earning power, it went through the roof after the Klitschko fight and without the IBF, I'd suspect that fight may not have happened - or if Joshua didn't have the capital to back him. Either way, Hearn gave Joshua the platform but as with everything in boxing, its all down to the fighter performing when it matters.

From what i've read, you don't seem to be listening or willing to stand corrected, so there is little point in anybody typing anything really. You have your opinion on Hearn and no amount of statistical data is going to deter you. However just because i don't think anybody is beyond hope, i'll give it a crack!

To put it very plainly, Kell Brook and Carl Froch made more money for Hearn in 2014, than every fighter ADDED TOGETHER under any British promoter in the same year.

Now that's without AJ or any other boxers in the stable, i'm not sure how many examples you need but even if you removed AJ from mathrooms revenue, Hearn has still made more than every other british promoter added together, not to mention he was the first promoter to land an exclusive deal with Sky. I'm not sure what it takes to be considered special, but if he hasn't done that in your eyes yet, it's never going to happen.

As a side note, the no context hearn thing has never existed for any other promoter before either. You don't think he's the most recognizable promoter in the world? You don't even have to like the dude, but his fighters (Not AJ) resurrected british boxing if nothing else.

Not really, it goes without saying that if you fight, you have to perform. If I was to walk outside and target someone, I'd have to perform otherwise I'd get my head kicked in.

After the Klitschko fight; Joshua then signs a £100m, 3 fight deal. It snowballed after that, all the way to unification. No way Joshua wouldn't be the star he is now without all that backing - its not like he has the boxing ability of a Welter or Middleweight, he's a half-decent boxer but at Heavyweight, its about the KO nowadays.
