GGG beat Canelo in the 1st fight "but" the judges got the decision wrong.

If there were no "ifs" & "buts" we'd have nothing to talk about.

And Lennox doesn't say anything about "handling" Mike after almost being decapitated by him the 1st day.

And Joshua "boxed" (ran) from a 300 lb. guy who was 4 inches shorter and didn't even train for the fight.

That's not showing adaptability. Andy Ruiz ate his way out of the rematch and Joshua still fought scared.
. https://********/xgUBneA7J0k Joshua adapted and won back his world title and if he go’s on and keeps winning that is what matters....his story book is still to be written fully
Tyson got fed Bruce Seldon and then got destroyed by Holyfield in both fights , Tyson story is written and that’s why he fails to be a top 10 P4P heavyweight, below Ali , Lewis , Louis , Johnson , Marciano , klitchcko , Frazier , foreman, Dempsey Holmes...Tyson was just one dimensional so get a grip

I just remember watching g it on tv from very young and was intrigued by how musculature men were with the gloves on. The microphones seemed to be really close to action could hear every thud of punch.
But I was impressed with muscular physique of the boxers with their hands encased in colourful leather gloves.

Your living in a fantasy land son wake up
I never said Tyson was in Ali or Lewis' league because those are the two best heavyweights in history.

Is he in Evander "the PED cheat" Holyfield and Lennox's class?

Yeah, the prime 1986-1989 version of Tyson was better than them and would've demolished both of them at that time.

Did they have the greater careers?

        Yes, because Mike self-destructed.

Holyfield's the GOAT Cruiser & the only 4time HW champ in history.

Lennox completely unified in the 4 belt era.

I got no problem admitting that.

If people want to rank them higher P4P, I'm good with that based on those things.

But prime for prime, they were not better.

Joshua got knocked out by a guy more embarrassing than anybody Mike Tyson lost to.

A morbidly obese slacker, who knocked him down what 3 or 4 times?

And then, they guy doesn't even train for the rematch and yet Joshua doesn't KO him in a few rounds.

He runs from him for 12 rounds and cruises to a decision against a 290lb guy who could barely move.

you talking **** once again , they were better Tyson because they beat him and they went on to a far better boxing career than he did....as I said not ifs and maybe’s ....Tyson prime was facing the Greg pages , tony tubbs , Carl weathers ....yippie kayee such great standing heavyweights , Tyson was overarated was fed bum of the month and when he came up against a fighter that could fire back he got beat that’s the facts.
As for Joshua he still is champ and will continue to be champ because he adapts and change styles to win a fight Tyson couldn’t and that’s why he rates lowly in the top 12 P4P heavyweights ...so you keep living in that bubble and watch those old Cus YouTube videos and watch Tyson rolling his neck muscles and imagine what Tyson never managed to be lol
Tyson was a bully and all bully’s get there ass handed to them sooner or later.

When I was a kid I lived in a house that Chuck Wepner rented. My Mom and Dad got divorced and Chuck Wepner was a friend of my Grandpas so my mom got the apartment. Chucks son Chucky and daughter Charlene(cat lady) lived there too on the other floors.Chucky on third and Charlene in a basement apartment. Chucky had a heavy bag, weights, speed bag etc in the garage out back and he had tapes of his Dads fights which he would let me borrow. . I watched them over and over again and fell in love with the sport. Occasionally I would hit the heavy bag and work out but it wasn’t often as I was a kid but Chucky was always there training. Chuck Wepner would come by and tell stories and from my viewpoint he was a giant. I didn’t even grasp who he really was until I was alot older. Been in love with the sport though since then. Its unfortunate though Chucky never followed in his father footsteps. I don’t think he even wanted too. Last I heard he was a stay at home husband but could be just a rumor. Charlene would babysit us all the time and was a cheerleading coach. They were so enamored by their Dad but I think he babied them so much that they never went on to do anything.

Tyson beat who was there in the late '80s.

It's not his fault that Holmes was old and Lennox & Evander weren't ready yet, even though they're both older than he is.

He beat 8 of the top 10 ranked HWs in the Ring Magazine top 10, including the champ Spinks.

He demolished a Holmes, who 4 years later beat a very live Ray Mercer and continued to fight into the 21st century and was never knocked out by anyone else.

He fought everybody he could fight from '86-89.

They beat the carcass of Tyson and you know that.

Post prison Tyson especially was not the real Tyson and you know that.

It's like arguing that the Ali, who should've lost 3 times to Ken Norton or lost to Leon Spinks was the real Ali.

We all know post Vietnam Ali wasn't the real Ali (though he had some great wins after that).

He would've never lost to Frazier, Norton, or Spinks in '67

Tyson became champion in an era of mediocre challengers and faded ex champs, as what Roy Jones was asked the other day who would he rather fight Ali or Tyson ....guess what he said Tyson , one dimensional and easy to read , only had a game of winning and that was it , tillis , green , tucker , smith all showed what limitations Tyson had when fighting tall fighters ....as soon as Tyson boxed someone who could give some back he lost.
I’ve already shut you with the Lennox story and it’s true Lennox had Tyson’s number by the 2nd day of sparring in the catskills and it’s documented , good knowledgable boxing fans are not suckered in by Mike Tyson’s reign of terror because in reality he never really beat anybody who was like a lewis or Holyfield.
Even ruddock he was lucky with and Lewis blew ruddock out in 2 rounds.
Go get some knowledge son and learn it takes more to be a great heavyweight that wearing black boots and no robes when entering the ring

Chuck Wepner would have had some crazy stories. Too bad most of them are R rated so you probably didn’t get to hear those ones as a kid ha.

I remember seeing him talk about his fight with Ali once. Was pretty funny. Went something like “I knocked down Ali in the 8th round and ran to my corner and said to start the car. We are going to the bank! We’re millionaires! And then my cornerman said to turn around because Ali is getting back up and he looks pissed off... oh boy, he was.” Lol.

Maybe an 86-89 Tyson could beat an 86-89 Lewis or Holyfield. But nothing Tyson went through back then would have prepared him for a “prime” Holyfield or Lewis. Kids today prolly think “prime” is Tyson’s first name. Only Mike Tyson could have lost in the biggest upset in boxing history. It didn’t happen to anyone else, it happened to Mike. Mike lost to Kevin McBride, are u saying Ruiz is worse than McBride? Mike is not overrated as an entertainer, people cared when he fought. But c’mon he did a lot worse than the odds given to him in the end. I had his game, greatest hits, still my old man said a guy named Evander Holyfield will beat Mike Tyson the day after the Spinks fight. I mean how many times do u hear people admit to the fights they picked wrong with Mike? Ruiz worse than McBride?!!!!
