Let's see just how powerful and dedicated women truly are to "the cause", if this fight is ever made. We all know women are cheap with things that matter and spend money on *****....but they'll blame men for not buying the fight if it doesn't do well. Go figure. Lol
I wouldn't mind seeing it or paying for it....I've been buying fights for at least 10 years now and I've bought horrible fights in the past (JMM vs Fedchenko and Rios/Abril split-site PPV) and a few others. Being that Shields's popularity has grown over the years and Ali's a well-known public figure, it should be a great turnout.
I can hear it from the "femi****s" now, "See how he's already trying to talk bad about the fight? He doesn't respect women or what he stand for! We hate all men....but they still need to buy this fight or we'll shame them for not doing so". Close enough? Lol
We've seen worse fights in the talks and trashed it, so a women's event won't be any different if it flops or makes zero sense. Again, I'd buy the fight and/or tune in for sure, but I'm just predicting the loads of butthurt we'll hear if it flops in sales. Lol

This is the ridiculous Floyd Vs McGregor/Random MMA fighter kind of non-fight that casual fans think will be great and will sell loads of tickets.
So it will probably happen.

Shields would destroy a prime Laila Ali. Ali is massively overrated, beat nobody. He best win is against Christy Martin who entered the fight 45-2-2, incredibly padded record, 16 of those 45 wins were against people making their debuts. Another ton of those wins we're against people who had 1,2,3 or 4 fights. Take away those Z level fights, her record was maybe 0-2-2. The other boxers on Ali's record have abysmal records, I don't even know how these fights were allowed to happen. Cherry picking E/F/G Llevel fighters, not B/C that people get criticized for these days as padding records.

Laila Ali should remain retired. She's had her time. This is Claressa Shields time and it must really burns her in knowing that there is someone out here who just so happens to be a lot better than she was.

I'm disappointed in Clarissa for calling out a 42 y.o., who hasn't been in the ring for 13 years.
No matter who you are, what you do, not matter how great of a professional you are in your field, if you don't do it for 13 years - you are a shadow of a former self. Embarrassing call out, which screams insecurity and desperation.
Can you imagine Klitschko in his prime calling out a long retired Mike Tyson? This wouldn't have even crossed his mind because he was a true champion.
