Everybody has an ego but it's something about the athlete's ego. Even being old as dirt (for a boxer), they still get riled up when someone says they are better. I notice Laila likes to talk about her multiple streams of income. Then she needs to keep doing that and get fulfillment somewhere else.

I’d buy it. It would probably look more like Morrison-Foreman than Foreman-Holyfield but it’s interesting. Ali bulls forward and overwhelms opponents so any loss of speed wouldnt be the end of the world.

All these people complaining werent going to buy anything women’s boxing related anyway so ignore em. Do it up and don’t overcharge, if it goes down. Load that card.

I wouldn't mind seeing it or paying for it....I've been buying fights for at least 10 years now and I've bought horrible fights in the past (JMM vs Fedchenko and Rios/Abril split-site PPV) and a few others. Being that Shields's popularity has grown over the years and Ali's a well-known public figure, it should be a great turnout.

I can hear it from the "femi****s" now, "See how he's already trying to talk bad about the fight? He doesn't respect women or what he stand for! We hate all men....but they still need to buy this fight or we'll shame them for not doing so". Close enough? Lol

We've seen worse fights in the talks and trashed it, so a women's event won't be any different if it flops or makes zero sense. Again, I'd buy the fight and/or tune in for sure, but I'm just predicting the loads of butthurt we'll hear if it flops in sales. Lol
              nice post

My take on female boxing is that it will take a LONG TIME before it reaches a natural state of sustainability and equilibrium. Right now, it is being force-fed before it has even had chance to properly develop; everyone needs to be more patient and realistic about the whole endeavour.

Claressa and Laila are probably among the two best known female boxers, so in terms of making a big fight it makes some sense. But it still sucks, as a fight, to anyone who really cares about boxing. Is it seriously over a decade since Laila boxed? I mean, get real, this is trash

Anne Woofe is a total bum bully. I don't think Shields is great, just decent, but far better tha Woolfe and Ali, and so Ali beat Mahfood, Mahfood's record W19 L 14 D 4. Imagine the stick Shields would get if she fought someone with that record? Mahfood at age 27 lost to a woman who was 6-8, 1 year before losing to Ali.

For goodness sake, I hope this fight don't materialize. Laila Ali need to stay retire.
