Smith will get his shot soon. He better be swinging for the fences too because they wont let him win a decision. Saunders cant break a g**** at 168(couldn't punch at 160 neither) so he is guaranteed to lose.

I think Canelo will fight Smith eventually. It just makes sense to fight BJS first because fighting him second wouldn't make sense. If you beat the better fighter first (Smith) there will be even less interest in a Canelo vs BJS fight than there already is.

Canelo took the best fight possible; unfortunately for him - BJJ's style is a problem for him. Big problem. And BJJ showed you when he stepped right up to that Bully Wilder that he has the guts to take the risks needed to ensure another Lemieux-like schooling.
Wait a minute bro,I was with you til the Wilder comment, lmao

Saunders ran out of that chinese restaurant like he peeked into the kitchen & saw someone boiling up a pot of cats...

Canelo can't fight both of them.
Yeah not too sure why everyone is so upset, he doesn't really seem to be saying Canelo is ducking him or talking all types of smack.

If I were him I would have tried to get the fight a bit harder sure, but at the end of the day you wouldn't want to get into a reverse auction with BJS undercutting each other back and forth.

BJS accepted less and got the fight, Smith still has his belts so the option is still there on dazn for next fight, hard to get too worked up over it.

I think Callum Smith is a bigger threat than BJS in pretty much every conceivable way. BJS is a slick, cutesy boxer with great feet, but if you can't hurt this version of Canelo you cannot beat him. Billy Joe can't crack eggs, and, besides that, he very much talks like a guy who is thinking retirement already. He may be slick enough to go the distance against Canelo but he'll take a Camacho v JCC type of beating along the way.

Smith, on the other hand, is an athletic giant at 6'3" with a 78" reach (7-8" longer than Canelo and BJS). He punches in combination with actual intentions to hurt guys. Depending on how good he is on the inside will say a lot about his chances against Canelo, but his physical attributes alone will make him twice the threat that BJS is. As cautious as Canelo was against Kovalev in the early going, he'll be twice as wary against Smith - if they ever actually get in the ring. Unless there is great pressure on Canelo for this fight to happen, I think Team Canelo avoids this fight.

What an absolute bum he is. He was offered a career high payday and turned the fight down. He isn't a big enough name to command Kovalev or Golovkin money.
