Does B-Hop have an argument for Top 5 P4P ATG?

B-Hop fought everyone and he showed class throughout, was as disciplined as a martial artist and wouldn’t touch the Soda, and didn’t duck a single fight. He fought well into his fifties. Though his record says otherwise. Only time he clearly lost a fight was against Joe Smith, Jr. and he was old enough to be his Daddy.

I say that’s worthy of ATG top 5.

Not a chance... he was a good champion, good solid fighter.. i wouldn’t say he was exceptional when compared to the likes of Robinson, Ali or even Mayweather in the modern era.

Off the top of my head for middleweight I’d rate RJJ, Hagler, Hearns, Leonard and Toney all above him and that’s without going back further in history. If your including supermiddle Calazaghi is in that list ahead of him too.

It's hard to rate Hopkins since he started so late and didn't even win a world title until he was 30.

Nope. Picked on too many naturally smaller fighters.

I think the racist thing is fake news.. B-Hop did say the “White boy” comment but AFAIK he said he got too into the trash talk and didn’t mean for it to go that far, and had nothing against whit people (can’t remember where I read that or I’d post it — it was obviously long ago). Also remember a White guy who knew him personally said he was a great guy and not racist at all...

I think that’s part of why I rate him so highly ... his longevity was astonishing IMHO, and the fact he was able to accomplish in boxing what he did starting so late.

he clearly lost to roy jones, chad dawson, and sergey kovalev. jones beat the breaks off of him in the first fight.
