Bob arum claims 800k ppv buys one uk

Firstly I would say I had heard it was between 50-100k so I’m not sure whether there is any truth at all.

But if true - then wow - 800k for a 5am fight with no undercard

That’s what he is claiming. He also says US numbers in press are not correct and will come out in next few days

800k in the UK at 5am on BT at £24.99? LMAO.

Even Fury vs Wlad at primetime in the UK didn’t do that number. Only an idiot who doesn’t live in the UK would believe this. LMAO.

The fight didn’t do more than 150k and that’s me being extremely generous.

            Fury-Wilder 2 was a much bigger fight than Fury-Wlad.

You’re not from the UK and you won’t understand the context.

Fury vs Wilder would be lucky to do 150k in the UK at that time on BT and with the price bump.

If his estimates are correct, then the event did sold close to 2 mil buys.

Arum is a serial liar. I’m sure the legit US PPV was below 700k but 100k bump to save face is calm due to huge marketing they did.

But you can’t even make up that type of lie with UK PPV with the price bump, especially on BT that doesn’t have Sky’s reach.

I wouldn't be too surprised in all honesty. I know a few people who paid for it that wouldnt normally. The ITV documentary, coupled with the interest from the first fight can only have helped. Everybody where I work was talking about it.
