Do you think Fury v. Wilder III really happens?

Do you think they are really going to do the re-rematch, or will Wilder get a payout so they can do the undisputed?

Do you think Wilder gets his belt back if they fight?

    Why or why not?

If it happens? It will show that Wilder values his belts & competition more than being paid off etc

I also don't think Fury is going to vacate any of his belts, so the ball is firmly on Wilder's side the court.

Just for the sake of the thread, I will say this fight happens.

Wilder is still healing after surgery. His eardrum was indeed popped. You don't get cuts in your ear from a punch since there are no bones there. The bleeding came from a busted eardrum, hence that side of his face was very swollen. His jaw was also broken.

I don't see Wilder coming back any time soon.

I agree with you that the inside of the ear cut doesn’t make sense. I think there’s probable some sort of cover up took place. But does anyone know if this is true (not just rumor) that he’s had surgery?

Because that might affect the timing of the next fight as he would need to recover.

I think he will agree to the rematch, but there’s a good chance he does it just to save face, then pulls out with an injury.

Apparently the contract states the rematch has to happen by some point in July. So technically Wilder could say he wants it, then pull out with a fake injury and the rematch clause will no longer exist if it goes past July.

That way Wilder can look like he wanted the rematch without going through with it.

Although, i suppose his team will be pushing for it, it’s the best money fight for him right now, even though he gets whooped again. His team just want the money.

Wilder is a proud man, he will most likely make the 3re fight if he is fit to or sign the contract a pulls fake injury.

Absolutely he takes it if it's in the contract that he's entitled to it.

Wilder likely loses again, takes the money and retires his 35 year old self to

It's likely Wilder loses again, but he always has a puncher's chance and it's the biggest money fight available to him.

The 3rd one is sure. I am afraid there will be Fury vs. Wilder 4 and 5.

I think there is a 50/50 chance someone convinces him to step aside. Not hard to build a perfect case:

Take a boat load of cash, gel with a new trainer for a fight, then go after the champion (likely Fury still.) If he goes right back in then he’s more screwd than any of you realize.
