I remember the old threads from Wilder's early pro fights.

He was mocked and called "bird-legs" and "bum" through his whole career.

It's kind of hard to be a hype job when you were never really hyped to begin with.

Did they live up to what the fans and media made them out to be? No. So they're hype jobs.

I mean GGG has fought his whole career at MW and had great success there man...it is fair to think GGG has a claim to being an ATG at MW...some may disagree...to each his own...I don't think anyone says anything more about GGG than that really, and no one ever really has.

Maybe they picked him by KO to beat Canelo but as far as his status all-time, it is what it is...he is in the convo with other MWs all-time...some think he is behind them, some not.

All people have said about Wilder is he is an all-time great puncher who is a bit of a one-trick pony...even his fans said that about him.

Wilder has an official draw and then a tough loss to Fury where he was clearly not the better man...many feel Fury is a great HW, maybe an ATG.

AJ meanwhile has a loss to a 30-1 underdog...way more of a favorite than GGG was vs Canelo in either fight...and many feel GGG won one or both of those fights...

AJ 100% did not win his fight with Ruiz...a 30-1 favorite and he lost...GGG was more or less even money with Canelo and had two great fights with him.

Stop your BS. Golovkin was being called greater than Hagler, Hopkins etc. I actually think i was being unfair to Wilder because Golovkin is the clear winner IMO.

It's fair to compare GGG to those guys...I would say that AJ losing to a 30-1 underdog indicates he is more of a hype job than anything GGG has done for sure, and Wilder as well...just my 2 cents.
