Nobody ever coined Forrest as being as nimble and agile as Ali.

He did a good Ali impression against Quartey. However flat footed, and stiff arm punching of a display it was.

The fight was a draw, I was just sick of the boo hoos.

From my perspective I thought Forrest was trying to box but was on back foot because Quartey made him back up. Forrest was trying to out jab & fight Quartey in the beginning but once he saw that he could take his power he fought almost exactly like how he fought in 2nd Mayorga fight. He was trying to box & flurry but wasn't landing nearly as much as some think. Alot of those punches weren't landing. Clean effective punching had to go to Quartey; everytime Quartey landed a punch or threw a combo it moved Forrest.

I agree.. Quartey did a pretty good job making Forrest hit gloves.

          Sure he blocked some punches.

Forrest threw twice as many as Ike did, and was snapping his head back with straight punches and uppercutts.

Ike did a good job landing effectively, but that doesn't automatically win you the fight in my book.

Forrest's face was clearly more damaged than Ike's was, and that really doesn't change the fact that Forrest was the busier fighter.

But yeah, he did a good job on defense.....that Ike.

yes, it was a close fight. but there is no way he overcame that point deduction and won 6 rounds over quartey.

he wasn't jabbing all that much, thats why he landed more power punches than Ike

u r right, forrest won 5 rounds ike won four. Forrest won the 9th round but with the point lost it made it a 9-9 round. it should have been a draw. but the point lost was uncaused for, because ike pulled his head down

                  Exactly...Ike should've won that fight.
