I never scream robbery, but that was one. If you want to score it close that's fine, but I honestly don't fathom how anybody could've actually scored it a W for Forrest.
I agree with all of this and I am a big Forrest fan. I am NOT a fan of his bitchy attitude though. He's been quite a prick since Mayorga dusted him. I told all of you he wouldn't touch gloves with Ike. It was kinda funny how Mercante acted like it was a big deal. Forrest does that every fight.

Fans hear the "PFFT" noise Ike was making while walking foward throwing 1 punch at a time.

Forrest threw almost twice as many punches as Quartey did.....and was landing two and three piece combos upstairs and downstairs.
Yo Run I thought you didn't score fights for the boxer going backwards? Forrest back pedaled the whole fight so what's up???

        Right on...

Draw as the most favorable for Forrest, but not a unanimous decision.

It's rotten that's all it is.

But this fight doesn't stink as bad as Juarez-Raheem.

Quartey was attempting to engage. There's a reason Ike was coming forward but couldn't land as much. Forrest didn't fight off of his back foot... he fought from across the ring for the entire 2nd half of the fight. Ike was the agressor and landing the cleaner punches in my eyes, therefore it's up to Forrest to take the rounds from Ike. So if he doesnt' do ****, the round goes to Ike by default.

And, you scored it a draw... yet it was a UD for Forrest. He didn't deserve a SD or an MD. He deserved an L, or maybe a draw if people were feeling generous.

He should have been more active when coming foward.....because even though he was landing the jab at times, he was getting outboxed from the outside.

I had the fight scored 5 rounds to 4 with 1 even in favor of Forrest.
was the 1 even round the 9th? i had that round 9-9. thats exactly how i had it

it was a very close fight no doubt about it. but the reason its being called a robbery is because there is just no way that forrest won that fight. i can barely see a draw. But there is just no way that forrest won that fight. one round decided that fight, and quartey won that round!

Yeah, more like circling and landing a jab.

Ike wasn't busy enough, and if you merely walk foward throwing 1 punch at a time....you can't win the round.

Maybe I was watching a different fight. I didn't see Forrest circling. He'd take 1 or two steps to the side the gallop across the whole ring. And if you're going to "circle" and try to box you actually have to do more with the jab than paw with it for me to score it worth a ****.
