IMHO, great numbers if you consider the underwhelming undercard leading to massive amounts of streaming.

Wilder vs Tyson Fury PPV numbers not looking good for now
I expected 1 million not more or less, but I believe is too soon. I wait another announcement with new numbers.

Fat Fury is not entertaining and never will be. Obviously, potential buyers already knew that. I did not buy because I already knew it.

I mean as there ever been a second fight that’s sold 1.7 million more ppvs than the first??

Again I keep saying BOXING IN GENERAL have a serious issue here in America it is not a Top Rank Issue or a PBC Issue or a DAZN Issue...it is a BOXING ISSUE In General
First of all, it is too many options in sports now (especially UFC for Combat Sports) for fans to wait around for the best to fight the best in boxing so people are just moving on to UFC who does consistently deliver the best vs the best
Also too, Boxing here in America is so far behind the UFC when it comes to Fan Interaction, Social Media Presence, Youtube Presence. That is why last week I posted about how maybe Arum should cash out because I don't see how the Promoter makes money in this ERA other than from Network Deals because they don't sell many tickets and even with all the Promotion including Super Bowl Promotion the numbers Came back Solid but not as big as it probably should've
No it has nothing to do with "Fury Not A Draw" "Wilder Not A Draw" it just feels like people don't care for Boxing In General anymore here in America.
So those PPV Buys are Solid in this ERA for BOXING but yeah I'm sure they wanted to break 1 Million at least but it could be something to build upon. First Big Heavyweight Event in America in a very long time so it is going to take more time and a lot of work to draw the Casual American Viewer back to Boxing because right now without Mayweather THEY DON'T CARE! Boxing Lacks good Villains and in America they absolutely LOVE the Villain more so than the Hero which is why Mayweather was as big as he was. Which is why McGregor is as big as he isLast edited by sicko; 02-27-2020, 03:49 PM.

Lol I never expected 2 mil thought it might've been able to touch 1 but that number is honestly not bad 800,000 is pretty good everybody knows that probably twice that many people watched the fight live. You can't compare the numbers to the 90's for one crucial reason in the 90's there was no high speed internet that was accessible to the masses along with hundreds of streaming websites and other platforms to watch the fights without paying. It's funny every time numbers are posted on here people **** on them like damn I thought you were on this forum to be a boxing fan instead your fighting over numbers like you want the see the sport do bad.

Especially at 80 bucks which is ****ing absurd. Even the UFC isnt breaking 1mil PPV these days unless it's Mcgregor on the card.
The difference is nobody on a UFC card is getting a 25mil+ guarantee. Not even Mcgregor himself.
The boxing industry is too greedy with these bull**** PPVs, i'm glad it flopped.
