No one called Loma a ducker so stop whining and crying and trying to make this a hate post so you can attract other dregs.

Haney earned the shot and didn't get it. He didn't duck, he didn't hide. He wanted the fight. Guys like you complain day in and day out about fighters not wanting to take on the best. Then when we get someone that does, you tell him to "wait in line" or "he hasn't earned it" or "he isn't a big enough star". If the situation was reversed you'd all be killing Haney as a ducker.

Haney is going up to try and fight one of the best fighters in the world at 140. I don't see how anyone could have a problem with him trying to do that.

Why not take a stay busy fight and then get the winner of Garcia/Linares? He needs to stop the name-dropping and keep busy. Why not talk about Tank at 135? Not that Davis would ever have the balls to face him, but put some heat on him too, don't let him off the hook because he does business across the street.

wanting a fight does not mean you earned a fight. he has fought no one. why does he expect loma to rearrange his career to fit him in? just wait and see if you get the fight. fight the best while you wait. if loma starts taking on amir khans and liam smiths then yeah he's obviously ducking. has haney vs garcia been signed or something?

so lomas going down to 130 but he's going to make berchelt come up to 135? this is making no sense. this proves you dont know what hes going to do. guess you just want to cry duck. ducking a guy with 0 top 10 wins mind bobbling

how does he know that? and you know what would give him a better chance at getting the loma fight...fighting someone good! but no he expects a shot at the best fighter around without a top 10 win. i mean even tank has one. can you get me one? jeezus what an entitled crybaby clown he is. now hes going up to 140 to fight who? im guessing he expects a shot at the best right away there too right? then a shot at pac or spence at 147. i mean this is devin haney we are talkign about. star power
Again, stop with the BS trying to attract dregs and race warriors to this thread by saying I am calling Loma a ducker when I didn't. The plan is either back to 130 or Berchelt at 135 from what I've read.

Haney earned the Loma fight by becoming the mando, whether you like that or not. He doesn't have to go out and earn it some more. Loma choose the emeritus thing. If Loma chooses not to fight him that isn't Haney's fault.

Haney should go to 140 and try to fight the best there. No need in waiting on a fight that will likely never happen.

I know you don't know a lot about boxing but I figured you knew that when a fighter wins the eliminator and becomes the mandatory challenger for the title, he has earned the title shot. Loma would not be "rearranging his career" he would be making a mandatory defense, something he did willingly against lesser mandatory opponents.

Loma instead took the franchise/emeritus designation and essentially gave Haney the belt. Loma accepting the franchise/emeritus thing allows him to stay lightweight champion without being required to fight Haney. If you are Haney, would you think Loma has any plan of fighting you?

Lets not waste time. Haney sees the writing on the wall and is going to 140.

Haney was the Mando and was willing to take the fight. I also think Haney wants to fight. He is trying to fight the best opponents which makes a lot of sense.

This kid is not a fraud...His father is aggressively managing him, probably because he wants the best, and feels his son can fight the best. But the difference between Haney and Tank IMO is obvious. Tank already has, what the Buddhists used to say about the self righteous in the monastery...."the stink of enlightenement" vis a vis, Tank walks around like he is the man. He seems to want to coast on that reputation to me. Haney is sincere and wants to fight... win, lose, or draw Haney seems ready to proceed.

And what if Haney is not as good as he thinks? I think he handles that as well... This kid seems like the learning type. Im sick of these guys who get a little bit ahead of the pack and then want to preserve that goose egg. I saw Ricky Hatton's career destroyed post Zoo when his corner had him fighting to not lose... I see the young guys coming up with the same attitude. Ryan Garcia, Tank, and Haney are all young guys with a lot to learn. Safety first is not a great learning strategy...

Regarding Loma? Loma at least has earned the right not to fight a mando. He may feel like at this point Haney is beneath him, but Loma is not a kid anymore, I can respect his decision, whether I agree with it, or not. You can't blame Haney for being up for that fight. It shows he is willing to go forward and even take an L if necessary (God forbid!)

Devin Haney was never going to get the Lomachenko fight.

Bob Arum even said straight up that he signed with the wrong promoter.

He can’t fight the best at 140. It’s all lined up for Ramirez and Taylor at the end of the year for all the belts. So basically at 140 he’s in the same spot as he was at 135 except at 140 he has no belt while at 135 he can take a tune up when he’s back then force the Campbell Fortuna winner to fight him and get his belt back.

This comes down to weight. Haney has said 135 is getting hard to make and he would rather fight non descriptive opponents at 140 than 135. Nothing else makes sense.

If Mikey beats Vargas why the hell would he fight Haney? He gets no credit for that win. Mikey will be looking for a Pac showdown.

If Mikey loses to Vargas he looks at the Prograis Mo Hooker winner
