David Haye reckons so, and not sure I'd disagree...
... when they fought, I was rooting for Fury -- mainly because of Wlad's dirty tactics (gloves, mattress...)

... but I can't say that (this version of) Fury would have stopped Wlad... (Wlad was "more Kronk" than Fury ever managed to be...)

Fury brutalized a guy with no fundamentals including zero defence.

It's a big call to say he could do that to Wlad.

Will be interesting to see Fury from here on. This was very out of the ordinary for him and was a specific plan to beat Wilder. We'll see if it becomes the norm or remains the exception.

Right now people are thinking the fight looked like it did because Fury is some unstoppable monster. But I doubt Fury turned into some huge puncher all of a sudden. Over time as both guys face other worthwhile opponents I get the feeling theres going to be a realization that the fight actually looked that way because Wilder was a fraud all along.

I say no because Wladimir Klitschko was a natural Super Heavyweight. He weighed approximately 250 lbs. That style wouldn't have worked on him or AJ because they are both wider, stronger and more fundamentally sound than Deontay Wilder.

Styles makes fights and that style worked on Deontay Wilder because he is a very small heavyweight who Fury could easily weight bully and maul on the inside due to his larger frame. However, I just don't see him implementing the same strategy against men who are a lot closer to his own natural size.

Nah. Fury is smart he’d not box him like that. Wlad is far better than Wilder.

People forget that Fury put in a terrible performance against Klitschko, yet still won every round.

I'm not sure if Fury would stop him, but i think he'd soundly outbox him even more than he did that night.

I doubt he was in much better physical shape tbh. Wlad was a consummate professional, he was in shape for every fight he ever had.

The Klitschko that Joshua fought had been out of the ring for years and was outboxed and humiliated in his previous fight, the version that Fury faced had barely lost a round in 12 years.

He took one year out due to being messed about by Fury, hardly 'years'.

It's also fair to say long time champ Wlad wasn't 100 percent focused and at it that night against Fury. Fury had fought nobody of note at that point and despite his antics in the lead up was expected to be a routine defence. Shame we never got the rematch.

18 months actually, and why wasn't he 100% focused? Fury was the mandatory for 2 of Wlad's belts and had to fight 3 title eliminators to get his shot.

Fury was always a threat to Wlad and he knew it.
