To hell what I am told, I will do the right thing.

Shame you can only follow orders.
I wouldn't agree to not throw in the towel if a fighter I worked with was hurt. Breland apparently did.

So you think before the fight they all sat down and Wilder said don't throw the towel in no matter what?

      And they all said yes?

      Please!

For starters that is a defeatist way to think, was Wilder expecting to take a beating of his life.

2nd, any trainer worth their salt would not agree to that.

They have a duty to protect their fighter's long term health and life.

And lastly, even if that was all said, I have no issue on going back on my word to save a man's life, especially when you are responsible for his life and health and it is someone you know very well.

It's boxing. Losing can happen in any fight to anyone. Wilder has come close to losing before. Every boxer walks into the ring knowing what's possible.

And your word my not mean anything to you, but lotsa ppl walk it like they talk it. And if you say x you need to do x when the time comes. I think Wilder's stance is ******, but that's his decision to make. And if his cornermen don't respect that stance they shouldn't be in the corner. Plenty of fighters got that mindset, rightly or wrongly, & are making that decision knowing the seriousness of this sport.

So you are happy that your stance and word could cost lives and do a lot of damage.

What do you think is more important?

How many lives is your word worth?

Don't tie your self up in a ethical straight jacket, only to make an unethical choice.

Do you know what right and wrong is?
Do you need logic to work out what it is, or do you instinctively know?

My stance is I wouldn't work with someone with Wilder's stance. But I respect Wilder's stance even if I disagree with it. And if I was Wilder & had that stance it means I'd have to fire Breland or not allow him in the corner anymore at least. That's what I'm saying.

No morals or ethics involved realllllly. I'm speaking for Wilder's wishes...assuming those are his real wishes & not just what he's saying to look like a "bad mfer" or w/e saying you'd rather die in the ring than quit makes you from Wilder's POV. If those aren't realllllly Wilder's wishes than I imagine Breland still has the same status he does now.
