No, he needs to fire both trainers for being absolutely useless and not teaching him anything.

He was going to die if it continued. His family wouldnt have wanted that and should be appreciative of Breland.

Breland has stated many times that Deontay doesn't follow instructions or listen to people very well at all. That's what happens when surrounded by yes men and the only one who had any good advice I'm sure gave up because he is a soft spoken man and saw no point reiterating the same things if Jay Deas is just going to big up his massive power eraser that he doesn't need to learn any boxing skills because of. Breland is a Kronk man himself and has a very similar build to Wilder considering he was a 6'2 welterweight so you'd think he'd have a lot of good things to show Wilder had he wanted to listen/learn.

Forgive how poorly this was written as I am extremely ill, firing bile and vomit out of all orifices.

That said respect to Breland for what he did, but I think he's gonna be looking for a job soon. And he'll probably find a lot of smart boxers wanting to work for him along with their appreciative family's.

No, he should keep him and fire the rest of his team.

Only a fool would have yes men in their team.

Please. Mark saved Wilder’s brain, and possibly his life.

He should fire his corner for not teaching him what a jab is in 10 years.

Again. You cannot teach someone who doesn't want to be taught. Clearly he was in love with his power and didn't think he needed anything else.

                  100%

I started a thread not long ago about boxers that died young, many as a result of in-ring injuries. Prior to my research I never realized the great number of deaths, let alone incapacitating brain injuries, boxers have suffered over the years. Wilder (and his family) should thank his lucky stars that idiot Deas wasn’t in total control Saturday night.

We all saw how badly Wilder was doing at fights end. Is there any doubt he was not getting knocked the **** out?

Mark Breland was a former boxer and friend to Wilder. If he threw in the towel so that Deontay Wilder could fight another day and if so commendable. The corner has to be on the same page so someone has to go. Or maybe Wilder has to bring in somebody new.

Wilder was out in his feet for 4 rounds, Mike is the only guy who showed he cared about the guy and not just business. Wilder if he is actually serious will get a new head trainer
