I didn't see the towel, but if you watch when Bayless stopped the fight, Wilder yelled at him "Why did you do that?" and Bayless just pointed to Wilder's corner. That's how I figured it was a towel.

The point deduction seemed legit. Fury was not heeding the instruction to break. I get that it was part of the strategy to physically maul Wilder, use the 40 pound advantage to rough Wilder up. Bayless let it go on for awhile before he took a point. I think Fury gets that too and so he has no problem with it.

It isn't illegal till the ref says it is.

Kenny is probably Mayweather's favorite referee and that tells a lot about him.

Kenny, Tony Weeks and now oldman Byrd are the worst in the game today.

The referee had warned them both and and said he would start taking points away. No idea why he stated he took a point from Fury with no warning?

The writer lost all credibility by calling that punch a rabbit punch. What I’m earth must you make of Josh Warrington’s?

It isn't apparent that Bayless saw the towel before he started to step in. But when Wilder objected to the stoppage, Bayless immediately pointed to the towel. So it's likely that he did in fact see it. That said, the fight was seconds from being stopped either way.
As a Wilder fan (and with some money on Wilder), I was hoping Bayless would stop it. Yes, he has power, but his balance was gone and by that point he had nothing on his punches. No need for Deontay to take a even longer sustained beating and possibly suffer permanent damage. He's a warrior and stated that he wanted to go out on his shield, but he's also a dedicated family man and his kids need him around for more than just money. I respect Mark Breland for doing what he knew was right. I hope it doesn't cost him his job.

The Stoppage was OK...He was taking a Hell of a Beating...

Wilder will Fight Again, but He'll never be the same...
