Lol the irony is strong in this thread. A non-English speaker, lecturing the British on how to decide who is worthy of their support, in broken English!
The racist undertones in this thread are boring and not even well put. AJ is first generation British, born of proud Nigerian heritage. I think that makes him even MORE worthy of our support. Plus he won Britain a gold model and staged some of the biggest boxing events ever on our soil. What's not to like??
thanks that im not british can i see how braiwhased a lot of british people are
-"why not to like it?"
you are you joking right ?
he is unironically a nigerian nationalist and he wouldnt think a second to help his ancestral homeland at the british expense.
only an eunuch would support someone like thatComment

I once heard of this Ali guy who got mega popular in America even though he spoke about his love for Africa many times, I guess that doesn't make sense either?
AJ won HW gold on UK soil, probably the biggest popularity boost a British fighter could have heading into their pro career. Then he won his first 20+ fights in dominant fashion, going for a world title earlier than expected. He's never said anything against the UK that would make fans turn on him, and people have been used to British fighters speaking about their love for their parent's homeland, culture at least since Hamed did it.Comment

Its because of the olympics plus hes well spoken, inoffensive and good looking which makes him marketable, so he gets a lot of media exposure.
Personally I like Fury slightly more and think hes the better fighter, but some of the criticism that gets thrown AJs way is downright ridiculous.Comment

and one more thing intra europeans wars are completely different for modern unasimilable "invaders" like you call them is more like china history where the different regions fought for milenia for supremacy but the basic culture institutions language and genetics were basically the same all across europeComment

There have always been "new immigrants" to Britain. People have been migrating to Britain for many centuries and will continue to do so thousands if not millions of years into the future. Big deal.Comment
