In sports , and spent my whole life playing and coaching sports at the school and college level, most of the time the best athletic package for the chosen sport wins. There are a few exceptions but most of the time that’s how it works.

Lewis was in the end the best athletic package in the 90s. Ali in 60s and 70s. Tyson fury is the best boxing athletic package of the current era.

He is 6-9 with the most height most reach. He is very thick and strong weighing from 250 to 270 with full mobility and endurance. He has extremely quick feet and hands not for his size but for the whole division. He is also at or near the top for endurance for the whole division. He also has a good solid chin. Add to that superior agility to just about the whole division. We just started talking about his high skill level.

Many fighters can match up in this area or that area but nobody can match him across the board. It is what it is. That’s why Emmanuel steward had him so young.

Wilder is a great athlete but he’d probably be a Major League Baseball power pitcher to be a pro.

Joshua would be a good NFL defensive lineman

But fury has the tools to be a pro in three USA sports. He could have easily been a football or baseball player but I see fury as a 6-10 260 nba all star big who could shoot handle the ball and run all day. He Nikolai Jokic or Porzingus became a lifetime boxer.

    Nobody else has that toolset

I admit wilder got his ass handed to him last night. After the 3rd he was never the same . Again no shame in losing to an elite HW.
You have no choice but to admit it. Fury took the option of you glorifying Wilder out of your hands.

I’m just playing, Wilder showed immense courage, heart and a durable chin. I still think Fury doesn’t punch that hard but he had a lanky punching bag to hit all night for fun.

I am a AJ fan so I can’t gloat too much but if anyone can turn it around in the rematch Wilder has the equaliser to. He hardly hit Fury yet his face was full of bumps

Ruiz IS an elite fighter and better boxer than wilder.

Andy has a better chin, faster hands and solid fundamentals.

Sure wilder didn't quit, but he should have, or the only body in his resume would have been his own!

Dude it’s nice to hear from you again. I know you are an Aj fan and I’m a wilder fan. I have nothing against AJ. I just hate when some people won’t give credit where credit is due. Maybe someday Aj and wilder will still fight . Wilder is 34 now though and I am not sure how he will bounce back from this beating. I think he should take a tune up fight to get his confidence back, fury and Aj square off and maybe wilder face the winner. I also think Dan Dubois is the future of the HW division. I think fury beats Aj . What is your thoughts on that potential fight ?

Ruiz is considered elite ???? What I was trying to say was wilder didn’t quit and absorbed way more of a beating than AJ did against Ruiz and wilder took that beating from an elite , skillful fighter and still didn’t quit like Aj did. Dude I do t have a problem with Aj I’m just trying to make a point and I think wilder deserves some credit for showing his heart courage and chin last night .

Actually, he needed to start LISTENING to trainers in how to BOX. Now he's too old. It's too late. He's toast vs the elites now.

"His biggest downfall is his biggest weapon. His power has allowed him to go through boxing up until this level with no problems."

I've been saying this exact same thing many times on this site, for quite a while. I even said it directly to Wilder... but of course he ignored it. Have to be a complete fighter at this stage of the game. Fighting elites requires it. Yet Wilder never listened. Instead, spent his time blabbering endlessly how supposedly great he was. Now look where he's at. ALL his fault.

What he also showed was ******ity in compromising his health and safety fighting on in a match he had no hope of winning after the 3rd round...

That's no doubting his heart and courage, but his chin is suspect as!

How can you say that about his chin ?? Ortiz has him rocked but he didn’t go down and even though he went down against fury, look how hurt he was and had no legs and fury couldn’t put him away . As far ******ity goes dude this is the fight game you don’t pull a kell Brook. He wanted to fight on because he believed he could still land that one shot . Sorry I don’t call courage ******ity in this sport .
