Can we all agree that Wilder's power is overrated now?

It's overrated in the sense that you're comparing him taking a big free shot on guys to boxers who found punchers from all angles and situations.

The power is real. But if someone like Shavers had done nothing more than wait for his shot and then swing for the fences then I think he'd have done more damage than Wilder.

Of course he also wouldn't have been much of a boxer. Like Wilder.

      Exactly because of the power
That is why everyone he faced would be intimidated to fight inside
It’s actually quite simple unless you believe you can take his shots

        It's really not.

His power is all on the outside at the end of a long straight right hand. On the inside, he's garbage. This should have been clear. In an earlier era, he never would have lasted, man. I don't know what they teach in gyms now but it's not inside fighting. It's ridiculous. Fury figured it out and did it himself. Why would you stay on the outside in the danger zone? That's ****** as hell.

He wont know what to do backing up. Surprisingly.....Fury did just that....and dominated that hyped non boxer. FACT.
Well said! To beat a puncher put him on his heels, feint him constantly, move your head and get inside past his wheel house. It is how Holly beat Tyson. everyone would back up Holly would go forward.

Doesn't change the fact Joshua got knocked out by a fat obese Mexican who got off the couch after a nap

Yeah that's true. Fury was tricky enough to be able to get in.

His power is not overrated. what he realized tonight though is he needs to add more layers to his game. Imagine if Wilder knew how to throw check hooks and use feints. He wont transform into a slick boxer but 2-3 more weapons in his arsenal is doable.
Yeah. At 35 hes going to add "layers" to his game.
