  • It’s kinda bs though. You can tell his equilibrium was fcuked up from the KD. Wilder never had good balance, but you can just tell that punch to the ear caused a lot of damage. Up to that point, Wilder looked fine. Not like he was clearly winning or was dominating, but he was in the fight. After the first KD, the fight was essentially over.

I think the 3rd fight will be much different. Freak punch changed the course of the fight.

I said the said the same to my my bro . If fury presses like that it would give old Joshua fits

It won’t so easy Joshua is on his bike again though . Buzzing for a undisputed fight

Might see wilder vs Whyte which is a bonus

They are not a good bunch of heavyweights at all and it is a very light on talent era. None of them at all are great, none even particularly good. Very boring division for many years now
Dude Fury is 6'9", 273lbs, 85" reach. None of those HW's you mentioned have the size to wear down Wilder like Fury did.

These are athletic giants from a new era fighting eachother.

Lewis has the best chance out of the bunch, and even he would have a really hard time with the size of these new era HW's.

AJ's weak chin would put him in jeopardy in round 1 vs any of those. But Fury and Wilder have pretty damn good chins. That was a lot of punishment Wilder took from a giant, and he really wasn't put OUT. He was put down, he was technically knocked out, but he wasn't put out despite the massive amount of punishment he withstood.

You dudes need to stop talking about how smaller boxers from older eras can somehow overcome any HW from this era no matter the size.

It's about as ****** as saying Marciano, at 5'10" 190lbs, can beat a prime Lennox Lewis.

In boxing, size matters, that's why there's weight classes. In HW, their being no limit, you can have some really bad mismatches and have a good HW lose due to being overpowered, outweighed, and his power punches don't hurt the bigger man.

But you know what? It's a HW fight, there's no limit. Fury is 6'9" and from the start he was saying he's going to come in heavy and Wilder and his team didn't care. Lesson learned for the trilogy, if there is one, come in at a heavier weight.

Wilder depends on his power, not boxing skills. Only boxers who depend on their skills can ignore size, because they will not be there for the heavy opponent to hug them and wrestle. Wilder was there all night for Fury to wrestle and manhandle. He was so tired that he was pretty much a punching bag for Fury. Look at the body punch that dropped Wilder, it wasn't even that good, Wilder was just tired from all the wrestling.

That was Fury's gameplan and he executed it perfectly. I'm not mad at him despite being a Wilder fan and thinking Wilder was going to win. Fury won using his weight, skills, and a bit of wrestling. Wilder lost for thinking his power was going to bail him out against the much heavier man.
Yea something was up with wilder from the start you could see his legs were shaky but leaning on a guy repeatedly and putting him in a chokehold isn’t boxing. Fury got the W but I don’t think in terms of boxing there was anything impressive about it. It was ridiculously sloppy.

Man you guys are something else..

If it was a lucky punch from fury or a close fight then you immediately go back in there and try again.. and people will be demanding it..
he needs major changes or same thing is gonna happen again or even worse.
Again, we are talking about what Wilder is thinking or will be thinking here. Not what WE think should happen or the logical thing. A guy like Wilder who has so many flaws, yet made it to the top and has been very successful is a stubborn man with crazy confidence. He also has some delusional in him.

And what major change is going to happen from now to the next time he fights Fury? This is a 34 year old man we are talking about, not a young 24 year old. How much better is he going to get?

Tonight i recognized that Wilder's IQ is low, or just his self awareness. He doesn't have the skills to fight backwards, as he ain't Ali, Floyd, Pernell or Sugar Ray Leonard. He can't counter punch, nor does he have proper footworks to fight backwards. He is the one with the power and needed to step into Fury. Push his jab into Fury's gut, but instead he jab to Fury gut while moving backwards. He really embarrass himself tonight or perhaps Fury embarrassed him. Either way, he was embarrassment. He allowed Fury to dictate the pace while he relies on his power. In doing so, he allowed Fury to feint, set traps and outsmart him.

The punch to the back of the head (not Fury's fault) definitely decided the fight but also Fury's weight made things worse. The wrestling, headlocks, holding, smothering helped tire out Wilder. He basically had no legs by the 5th round due to that punch and the wrestling.

Wilder needs to come in much heavier in the rematch.

LOL I thought you would be hiding under Wilders hospital gown licking his sweaty nut sack not crying into your PBC pillow at home.

Don’t worry I’m sure Fury ate some wild boar meat to pull off a performance like that.
