He did a lot of wrestling and even got a point deducted for it. It was one of his tactics to tire out the smaller man and he used all 273lbs of himself to lean on and headlock Wilder. You can tell Wilder was tired even before Fury started landing bombs on him.

But you know what? It's a HW fight, there's no limit. Fury is 6'9" and from the start he was saying he's going to come in heavy and Wilder and his team didn't care. Lesson learned for the trilogy, if there is one, come in at a heavier weight.

Wilder depends on his power, not boxing skills. Only boxers who depend on their skills can ignore size, because they will not be there for the heavy opponent to hug them and wrestle. Wilder was there all night for Fury to wrestle and manhandle. He was so tired that he was pretty much a punching bag for Fury. Look at the body punch that dropped Wilder, it wasn't even that good, Wilder was just tired from all the wrestling.

That was Fury's gameplan and he executed it perfectly. I'm not mad at him despite being a Wilder fan and thinking Wilder was going to win. Fury won using his weight, skills, and a bit of wrestling. Wilder lost for thinking his power was going to bail him out against the much heavier man.

Wilder's reliance on his power stagnated his technical development. Wilder didn't look like he belong there. Wilder's size was his advantage all along against the other fighters.

Hey I hear ya man...I admit that I often times see about 6 or so close rounds in top level fights that go 12 rounds...and usually end up splitting those rounds, as I feel shading them to one guy can lead to bad cards.

But of course, you have guys out there who are great at knicking rounds, and can do that all night...BJS and Andrade immediately come to mind for me...Floyd was a bit like that too.

Gotta give it up to Tyson Fury for doing what nearly everyone said he couldn’t which was walking Wilder down and stopping him. As for Wilder it was very obvious that once his power was a non factor he’d lose.... he showed tremendous heart though. An unexpected night but one we’re gonna be talking about for a while.

The Gypsy-Bum ducked the immediate rematch and got whooped by Otto Wallin, this is not over!

The 'Bronze-Bomber' was ducked, he is still a force in the HW divison. Mark my words, Deontay will wreak havoc.

The greatest of all time took a loss, its part of the game. Tyson Phooey should have a L to fat a local scrub John McDermott. the 'Bronze-Bomber' will be back for the WBC, who can stop him?

I support good clean fighters, Tyson Fury is a proven steroids cheat. A horrible ambassador for boxing, terrible human being.

And if he doesn't fight Fury, what is he going to do? Try to get a Ruiz showdown later this year? Fight Whyte? Who? Why not go after Fury for another 25M+ payday?
Those type of beat downs are hard to come back from. He won zero rounds.. got beat up from start to finish like a ragged doll, he landed his monster right hand multiple times and had zero effect on fury and you think he will be confident to fight a 3rd fight immediately?? Man you guys are something else..

If it was a lucky punch from fury or a close fight then you immediately go back in there and try again.. and people will be demanding it..
he needs major changes or same thing is gonna happen again or even worse.

Would love to see that fight...I don't think he is done yet...he honestly looked like sh.it to me from the start of the fight tonight...and I don't think that was all because of Fury.

He may have miscalculated what the added weight would do to him...but against anyone else not named Fury, Wilder will be a very live dog in there, for probably 12 rounds.

I would still predict him to stop AJ...but a better version of him needs to show up than what showed up tonight.

Physically i don’t think he can compete either. He can still ko other heavyweights but fury is too much for him when he is in this form.

A rematch loss would end his career, he should avoid it and go fight whyte, aj or ruiz
AJ would fight Fury before he fights Wilder now and Whyte can't bring in the purse Fury can. At 34 Wilder is at the end of his career anyway. It makes most sense for Wilder to fight Fury a 3rd time and If he losses again he can retire with another 14-20mil in the bank. Like i said even the greatest of HW's have got their azz handed to them
