If Fury loses, would he get the same stick as Ruiz for being overweight?

    Fury can box.
Ruiz's biggest strength is his fast hands and weight didn't affect that.

Fury's biggest strength is being light on his feet and added weight is gonna affect that.

But both are basically doing the same thing...weighing more for power. So there's no difference.

      I often wonder.
Look, this is simple, you lose you take full responsibility of your lose like a man. No excuses, and pointing fingers.
The only thing I have against Ruiz is that he gave a lot of excuses for his loss and that did not appear manly to me. You beat a guy and he accepts his loss and when he beats after six months of training as a champion, you give such a lauzy excuse? It will take a lot of work from Ruiz for many people to start taking him seriously, rightfully so.
I can already see excuses and complaints coming from Fury if he loses anyway other than a knockout. Wilder does not strike me as a guy who could give excuses should he lose.
Ja, we have to wait and see. I hope that there is an outright winner so that we can move forward to a unification fight.

Would the same excuse apply to Fury if he were to lose? And are people going to keep the same energy and discredit Wilder if he were to win?

This is the biggest Fury has been in his career by a mile.

He shouldn't, anywhere between 250 and 275 is a good weight for him imo, if he's preparing to fight, what i think is the right fight, which is to counter the right hand much more than the first fight and to lean on Wilder and fight him on the inside more, gaining weight shouldn't hurt him.

There's a reason why Wilder is coming in extra heavy this time.
