If Fury loses, would he get the same stick as Ruiz for being overweight?

When Ruiz went for power in the AJ rematch by turning up at 270lbs, everyone claimed he was overweight and didn't train for the fight. Creating a thread about Ruiz going for power with his weight is the reason why some accursed mod put me in red because he hates AJ.

Would the same excuse apply to Fury if he were to lose? And are people going to keep the same energy and discredit Wilder if he were to win?

This is the biggest Fury has been in his career by a mile.

You're mistaken. He's weighed more than 273 multiple times.

I know you're being sarcastic but he's about 19lbs bigger than his normal weight at 254lbs. And his best performance as a boxer came at 247lbs. This is worrying.

If he pulls this off, then Wilder is a bigger bum than I initially thought.

How so? If he's not overweight, then Ruiz wasn't overweight for the Josh rematch since he has always been a fat guy.

And why were people mad when I said Ruiz went for power?

First of all, Fury looks lean. He's bulked up (face thin, arms filled out but without fat). He has clearly been adding muscle.

Ruiz was just fat and that was clear for everyone to see.

Now, Fury may have had to change his gameplan because of the ankle injury meaning he couldn't 1) run to lose weight or 2) move like he wants to in the fight.

That meant he had to become stronger so he could fight on the inside.

In either case, he's in shape.

Ruiz is 6' 2" at that weight, looks like a round butterball and could barely move in the ring.

This is Fury at that weight doing pullups with additional weight.

Fat is actually better than muscle mass for a boxer since muscles consume more oxygen. So, I'm not buying the excuse that he's lean.

I just want everyone to keep the same energy.

But the guy has always been a fat boy with very slow feet. No excuses and it's basically the same.

Ruiz went for power the same way Fury is going for power.
