Oops my bad. Yeah I agree. Except for a unification bout, Briggs-Klitscho is as good as we can ask for in the current scene.

You know why this is a good fight? Because, quite simply, most of us want to see it. Sure, there are fight fans here and there who don't think Briggs can bring it...that this is a joke fight...or who just hate Klitschko alltogether. An offensively gifted fighter like Klitschko will be taking on a hard punched who is going to try and knock him out- with his glass chin! Desite what we think of who will win, either man could, theoretically, take this. It's the type of fight that you make your prediction, but still have a shred of doubt. No one can completely count Shannon out of this one, and if you have faith in Klitschko's chin...well...good luck. He won't win fights by passing chin-checks.

It wouldn't matter. They aren't and were never options. Those two titles are on DKP lockdown. And they will stay that way until the IBF and WBC are unified. Then DKP's titles become meaningless. But for now, nobody gets a shot at them unless DKP is signed as their future promoter. Sad that this **** is allowed to happen in 2006. As much progress as this sport has made, it can't get rid of corrupt money influencing who gets a shot at what title (and official scorecards, sad to say).

            Asian_Sensation wanted to post this.

Ryan ********: What are your thoughts on the upcoming IBF Heavyweight title fight between Wladimir Klitschko and Shannon Briggs?

Harold Lederman: If Shannon Briggs can drop, lets say somewhere around 245, he needs speed. I still think Wladimir, as great as he is, he has that tremendous skill, he's still a little bit gun shy. When Corrie Sanders knocked him out, he really psychologically became afraid of big shots. What he does is when he gets in with a big puncher like Samuel Peter, he lands that great jab and then he ties you up. Alright, if you got a referee that will let you hold all night, he'll get away with that. But if he fights Shannon Briggs and Shannon's got a referee thats not gonna let Wladimir hold, cause we all know Shannon can crack, Shannon's got a real good chance at winning that fight. The thing is that Shannon's got to lose some weight, get in shape, and work harder than he's ever worked in his life. I think the fight's a done deal for November in Madison Square Garden. The ball is in Shannon Briggs' court. If Shannon throws punches cause Shannon can really crack, Shannon can win that fight. I think Wladimir proved that in the Davaryll Williamson and the Lamon Brewster fight that he's a guy that fears big punches.

              The bolded is ******ed.

TOS landed 1 flash right hand that floored Wlad, and spent the rest of the fight running around in wide gaping circles.....like he was before he threw a right hand with his eyes closed.

If anyone was "afraid" it's TOS.

Oh and I'd be scared of being drugged also.

Yes.Except for that on the ropes stuff,it has to be a legit KD.If youre betting on a Tko you might as well bet that Briggs will win.

Well it's 4 years on, and he might still fight Klitschko - Vitali this time though. The same logic pretty much still applies: he will be dangerous early on. Wladimir would have been the better brother to fight though.
