    Briggs Is Very Dangerous.

    Steward on Briggs:

Of all the heavyweights in the world, Shannon Briggs is still the most dangerous heavyweight for the first two, three rounds. He’s very big, and has a lot of speed. He can box and punch. He fights somewhat like, and even faster than Corrie Sanders. Everything goes in the first few rounds with him, because he doesn’t get conditioned for a long fight, which means he’s going to be very dangerous in the beginning.

This taken from the Klitschko website, and it's hardly news. This is not a matter of Briggs being a top caliber fighter.....it's the simple fact that Steward hit the nail on the head.

Briggs is a more mobile version of Corey Sanders. They both like to hold their hands low, and throw deceptively hard punches from in close.

The first four rounds will be fireworks, and Wlad might go down.

I was looking online to see if I could find some prop bets. I'll put a billion points on the fact that Wlad gets knocked down during the fight, regardless of the winner (held up on the ropes getting tko'd will count as well). Anybody interested?

Sure he made it interesting with LL for a round but other then that anytime Briggs has stepped up in class he has looked pathetic.

Against C level fighters Briggs is a killer...dont be fooled...pop in the tape of his bout with Jameel McCline...and expect more of the same spoon.

Screw that, he probably will go down to the canvas once...if he gets caught.

What are the odds on Briggs gassing himself out on Wlad after knocking him down....and then Wlad crushing him with straight punches?

I'd say they should be 8:1

He's not suggesting that. He's just not blind to the fact that Wladimir has weaknesses in his ability as a fighter and Briggs has strengths. He's not going to be ******ed and suggest that Wlad losing is impossible and will not happen. I'd put my money on Wlad but at the same time I know full well what Briggs is capable of, as do most smart fight fans.

I never claimed Briggs would win.

I claimed that he might knock Wlad down once or twice.

If the fight goes past the 6th the only way Briggs will win is if Wlad gasses himself as well and Briggs lands a few shots that Wlad just can't get up from due to exhaustion. Briggs will be gassed too of course, but a gassed puncher who can still lift his arms can still score a KD on Wlad.

briggs is gonna come lunging in loading up on a right hand and wlad is gonna step in and drill him with a straight shot on the chin like he was fighting francois botha all over again.

if briggs goes down, the fight is over

if wlad goes down, we know he can survive
