Comments Thread For: Deontay Wilder: I Will Reopen That Cut On Tyson Fury's Eye

Well Wilder would be wise to target the area. Boxing basics. But that cut was made by a man that found it easier to hit Fury than Wilder did. Round by round Wallin did much better than Wilder.Comment

LOL. Game plan? That right is lethal but nobodies game plan should be to hope it lands at some point.Comment

Wilder must target Fury's entire body..eye, temple, chin, ribs, kidneys, liver. The last 3 are harder to move and would be a real test if Wilder lands there with full might. Target everything from round 1 and throw Fury off his plans. Basically, tell Fury that head movement ain't enough in this fight. The headshot will land eventually.
Fury, on the other hand, should do a replay of the last fight except hit a bit harder to make Wilder think twice before coming in...which I think is the plan when they mention 2 rounds and KO. That will happen only if Wilder is careless but otherwise make Wilder pay for being the aggressor. He got hit several times last time but they were "pillow fists" which did not deter Wilder from keep being aggressive.
May the better fighter win.Comment

If Wilder is going to open that cut, he needs to get his jab working, something we haven't seen in a long time. Hard to open that cut with the big right.Comment

Wilder will pump that jab, and patiently paw away at that scar for the first few rounds. Once that gash re-opens, and Fury looks like he got hit in the eye by a rotten tomato, Wilder will execute the Gypsy King in brutal fashion sending the Arena into a frenzy, and strap that invisible Lineal Belt around his shoulder. The UK is going to love it!Comment

Wilders just trying to get in Fury’s head, he knows the only way to win is to put Fury off his game by playing on his fears.
Fury looks very focused, more than I’ve ever seen, it could be we will see the best ever Fury in the ring or that all the adjustments change his game negatively, but one things for sure Wilder will also need to bring his A game.Comment

Wilder does not control fights, he doesn’t box off the jab, he generally is losing by the time he lands his KO.
He has one approach, wing it until a straight right presents itself (which is his only high % shot he has) and whilst winging it throw looping shots at outrageous distances, hoping to catch opponents napping for a second, that’s basically it, the rest of his armoury is messy to say the least including his defence which is basically using his length and holding, but if he has to use his feet he gets into trouble quickly and his positioning on the offensive is woeful.Comment
