Comments Thread For: Deontay Wilder: I Will Reopen That Cut On Tyson Fury's Eye

The commas are there for a reason. I said pump the jab without mentioning frequency. However, we saw Wilder "patiently pawing away at" Ortiz. All it takes is one good jab to open that scar up mixed in with the pawing.
Otto Wallin opened Fury's eye with a solid, but not extremely hard shot. It's not as impossible as you think. And once that face is bloody with a fearful expression on it, BOOOM, Fury will wake up in the next Gypsy Dimension.
Wilder has added one thing to his big right hand in terms of skill, and that’s patience and setting traps, so he’s come a long way and it has made him tougher to beat. He has not transformed himself into a well rounded Swiss Army knife boxer, he does not really jab, he does not really do much except wait to land that big shot and shell up and reverse when attacked. I don’t dislike the guy, but he is genuinely limited as a boxers boxer.Comment

Agreed...that, and waiting too much before acting. Fury is no Ortiz and if Wilder doesn't go on a mission from round 1, he will keep waiting and realize the twelve rounds are over.
Wilder must target Fury's entire body..eye, temple, chin, ribs, kidneys, liver. The last 3 are harder to move and would be a real test if Wilder lands there with full might. Target everything from round 1 and throw Fury off his plans. Basically, tell Fury that head movement ain't enough in this fight. The headshot will land eventually.
Fury, on the other hand, should do a replay of the last fight except hit a bit harder to make Wilder think twice before coming in...which I think is the plan when they mention 2 rounds and KO. That will happen only if Wilder is careless but otherwise make Wilder pay for being the aggressor. He got hit several times last time but they were "pillow fists" which did not deter Wilder from keep being aggressive.
May the better fighter win.Comment
