Does Eddie Hearn see De La Hoya as a rival instead of as a DAZN partner?

ABSOLUTELY! That is the plan for them to Unify which is why Benavidez will be at the fight for FOX to start Pushing it. So YES! Like Jermall Charlo vs Tony Harrison this one is very Personal, even more personal than Charlo vs Harrison II was

Hearn doesn’t manage his fighters, Joe Gallagher turned down the Canelo offer not Hearn. Hearn doesn’t control or enslave these boxers like they do with Haymon. Though I think Smith and BJS are just playing the negotiating game, they just aren’t going to say yes to the very first offer. Am sure one of them would blame themselves for not taking the fight once their rival gets the Canelo fight.

Jacobs and Kovalev had name recognition in the US.

            BJS and Callum Smith don't.

BJS and Callum Smith are undefeated world title holders at 168.

              Canelo isn't.

If he wants a shot at a legit SMW title, he's going to have to pay a SMW champion what he deserves for putting his title on the line, away from home.

And lmao at you trying to portray Kovalev as a "name" in the US!

Canelo isn't a legit title holder at 168 but he is a worldwide megastar. He doesn't have to bend to the likes of nobodies like Smith and BJS.

Kovalev certainly has a higher profile in America than BJS and Smith. It's no contest.

Canelo is not a world wide megastar, by any stretch of the imagination. And let's be honest here .. he didn't pay Kovalev more than twice what he's offering Mondo and BJS because of Krusher's non existent US name recognition .... he did it because he knew Kovalev was shot to fucking pieces.

Well sign me up. I'm all for it! At least on paper, I still think it's a mismatch though in favor of Benavidez.

If you're on the city council, you may only make a few thousand a year.

Being vice president pays $235,100 a year.

So if you're offered twelve thousand a year to be vice president, even though it'd 3-4x more than you're making, it's still a low ball offer.
